This was my 3 year old daughters first time playing in the rain. It was so amazing to watch her delight . I think we can all relate to tilting our faces up toward the heavens, trying to catch the rain as it falls on our cheeks. FOR PAY IT FORWARD: “Nominated by- Danae Leach” / “what she wrote“ “This is one of my most faves. I love children so much and their innocence, pure happiness and complete faith in all things good and magical. I remember when I used to be little and I loved being out in the summer rains”

I took this photo in my backyard after the rain today. I think it worked well as the flower seems to jump out from the contrasting blurry green background. Hope you all like it.

Small droplets clinging to a web found in the base of an old fig tree. If you look close enough you can even see the little bug running up the web, also covered in dew!

Another image of a water droplet but have mirrored it this time and made a circle

Sony H5 with M3358 close up lens. Cropped back from 3072×2304 to 1808×1360 and rotated it for better viewing. Yes I know I can up-size it back to 3072×2304 but that way you loose image quality IMO. Hence only available as card or matted print. If anybody wants the original shot or an up-sized version let me know. / / Have a look at my other photos. Here is another one from my macro collection. Again, I’m my own worse critic so wasn’t too sure about this one so I’ll let you decide.

Here’s one I took today… I like it for it’s simplicity. This leaf also was placed on a mirror.

Fresh cherry, straw and ice in a carbonated beverage.

Rain drops on a window, forming a beaded-curtain effect with golden out-of-focus orbs from the patio outside. I had my camera with me while in a cafe with my daughter and my sister, and I spotted the raindrops … then those golden orbs appeared in the viewfinder too. A lucky bonus! / . / I’m delighted that this photo has been featured on RedBubble’s front page - / . / / .

Reversed 50mm macro shot of a blade of grass with dew drops on it. I tried to utilize the narrow DOF by maintaining focus on only a single droplet to emphasize its presence. Thanks for taking a look. Best Viewed LARGE

Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain.
