  • Hundreds of little drops on a Gerbera daisy. Colors weren’t edited. Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Canon MR14-EX Flash / Flash Mode: ETT-L Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 100

  • Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface. It’s really easy to arrange shapes since you can just drag the drop with any sharp object and it will stay perfectly spherical and not loose any water :) So this is a bit feminine, but boo double standards :) / These are the descriptions I give on dA —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Location: Portland, OR / Date: August 30th, 2008 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-s 60mm f/2.8 / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Built-In Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 400 / — MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE COPYRIGHTED AND NOT FOR USE OF STOCK, CANNOT BE REDISTRIBUTE, EDITED, AND/OR COPIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. • My mom, Charmian, is the most AMAZING person – warm, talented, compassionate, energetic, accomplished, enthusiastic, sympathetic, witty, intelligent and loving. She can sail a yacht and play the drums. She cycles in bike races, and thinks nothing of cycling 80km just for fun. She can do woodwork, paint pictures and so many other things that I can’t list them all. And she can garden – her garden is extraordinary, full of lavish beauty and breathtakingly delightful. If I was any good at landscape photography I would have shown you just how good she is, but seeing as I’m not, I thought I would show you just one of the hundreds of stunning roses she grows. Taken after a morning of rain at her house in Magoebaskloof, South Africa. Camera Model Canon EOS 500D / Shooting Date/Time 2009/10/31 11:17:32 AM / Shooting Mode Manual Exposure / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125 / Av( Aperture Value ) 6.3 / ISO Speed 100 / Lens EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM / Focal Length 100.0 mm
