An iris after the rain- This is my favourite piece because of its clarity DOF and I think it looks both sensual and detailed in B & W. / Hope you enjoy too / Canon 400D /

I took this photo in my backyard after the rain today. I think it worked well as the flower seems to jump out from the contrasting blurry green background. Hope you all like it.
Had fun shooting this one! Got a bit wet, but was happy with the result! (This was shot in real rain. None of the raindrops were harmed during shooting) Other Categories / Animals / Apes / Architecture / Baby Animals / Bears / Birds / Big Cats / Elephants / Fish / Insects / Macro / Nature / Reptiles
It’s Easter today and my mom stopped over early to give these to me, I took a picture of them to make them last forever. Today is a beautiful sun shiny day, the sky is so blue with puffy white clouds. Well I better get busy and put the Ham in the oven….............Happy Easter !!!!!!

Sony H5 with M3358 close up lens. Cropped back from 3072×2304 to 1808×1360 and rotated it for better viewing. Yes I know I can up-size it back to 3072×2304 but that way you loose image quality IMO. Hence only available as card or matted print. If anybody wants the original shot or an up-sized version let me know. / / Have a look at my other photos. This image defines me in many ways. My favorite flowers are tulips and my favorite color is red. A flower goes through many stages in it’s life as does a human being. In that process it too, weeps. This is a personal feeling I get from this image. / MCN: C50B3-92AFF-C4A7D June 2009…placed in the Top Ten in the All Things Green and Red chellenge hosted by the First Things group.
