was a pencil drawing but i don’t own a scanner so had to take photo and photo shop it so it turned black and white. As I stand upon the edge of the world. / I know there is no turning back. / I keep my feet firmly on the ground. / For if l let go. / I will be swept away.

  • Sales of this TShirt ? – 1 sale so far :) / / China Doll comes from the ‘Asia Series’ of original paintings by Karin Taylor The original painting was ‘Three Dolls with Balloons’. There is also a card available depicting the original painting. This would make a nice gift idea. / A card and matching TShirt both from Karin’s ‘Asia Series’.

Her discipline and strength I admire. I have used ink, acrylic, charcoal and pastels to create Geisha Girl. The original painting is no longer available, but so glad she can come to you in the form of a greeting card. I hope you like her :D

  • Sales of this TShirt ? – 1 sale so far :) / / Shoes available at zazzle Here’s something a little bit different, ‘Kameko’! There is a tshirt and a card in this design… / Kameko is from the ‘Asia Series’ by Karin Taylor / / This piece took a lot of time and patience, I hand painted lots of paper in different colours and cut into tiny pieces to create my mosaics. Then I drew my design and layed the tiny pieces down and glue them all on. Painstaking! I then worked on the image in Photoshop to give it a softer look, I used the filter called ‘Ink Outlines’ and another filter called ‘Watercolour’. In Japanese Kameko means ‘tortoise-child’ symbol for long life. I thought it appropriate, given the tiles which resemble tortoise shell

  • Cinders Greeting Card The original design began as a gesso sandwich created on brown paper, I used a syringe to dispense the paint….then folded it over, much the same way we did when in preschool making butterfly paintings. I created both the crown and the gown this way and cut them out from the background in Photoshop….then proceeded to create Cinders’ face and body Photoshop. There is also a Cinders Greeting Card /

  • Sales of this TShirt ? – 1 sale so far :) / From the ‘Asia Series’ by Karin Taylor This dear little asian girl has stolen my heart! She’s so sweet and shy. She wears a traditional chinese costume with her feet slightly turned in. Flowers in her crazy ‘updo’ hair secured with a couple of chopsticks! Chinese Red Fan Girl stands before a warm glowing screen, patiently waiting for her little friend from Japan, ‘Little Blue Kimono’ to arrive. Chinese Red Fan Girl wears a pair of geta on her tootsies, a gift from ‘Little Blue’ The kanji symbols in the background on the screen translate into ‘One’s Dearest Wish’ There is also a card available in this design Little Red Chinese Fan Girl Card /

  • A portrait of a relaxed woman, head tilted back, afro freshly fluffed with beautiful ornaments called paisley. This portrait is framed by a lacey oval shape topped with a paisley flower, stylized stem shapes, 2 more paisleys and crowned with a 3D wireframe object enclosed in a round of flowers. This is a piece further inspired by other original paisley pen sketches I have made and a deeper experiment of the most recent “Paisley Tresses”. One major idea behind this is the substitution of the main object and it being replaced with a different object of choice. Not a brand new idea but another interpretation of those great ideas that other artists have used for many years in some POP art pieces. 3-9-2008

  • This image was first hand drawn and then scanned and digitally painted in gimp. / The original painting can be found here

  • The Mature Woman is like a Well Polished Gem… People really need to learn that their elders are not to be thrown away. In the animal kingdom the elders, especially the female elders are the one’s most revered. In a family of elephants it is the Eldest female that teaches all of the others where to find water in times of drought. The entire clan’s survival is depending on the elder female’s wisdom and memory. We can learn many things from the elephant…

  • Some people say the t-shirt was introduced last century by the American Navy to avoid soldiers exposing their hairy chests.

  • “I’ll just be a minute,” she said. ExtraGonk sighed. “Yes dear, I’m sure you will”

  • The thing on the end of her hair is a lightbulb I think

  • I thought this would look nice as a shirt :D
