Was able to find time to flesh out the Sledge Head concept. Completed this on a piece of cabinet door. Ink and acrylic (my favorites) This is part of the Drop to Zero merchandise but here’s what made me create such a piece. I feel sometimes like what is going on in my head never has the chance to see the light of our reality. Thoughts, emotions, fears and dreams stay locked away due to the fear that what comes out may be rejected by oneself or by the masses. So instead of risking such humiliation, we tuck it farther back into our pysche, and surround it in concrete. Well I have grown tired of holding back my feelings and ideas, and I am prepared to smash every brick and chip away at every stone until every creepy, useless, pointless, and ugly thought or idea pours out from the darkness.

A party mask for who?? This was in a store window display in Ibor City in Tampa, Florida.
Costumed protestors introduce themselves to passers-by, at the G20 protests in Melbourne, 2006. Despite wide publicity from organisors that the protest was to be peaceful, a very-small-but-very-vocal, rowdy element became intermixed with this march, culminating in their own kind-of parallel, violent protest. Media circus ensued, portraying the entire day pretty-much as one long riot, failing to adequately represent the many thousands who were peaceful. The media hounded dozens of protestors, publishing photographs which it turns out, may even have been obtained the previous evening, when police closed a squat. A few were eventually found to prosecute, receiving massive coverage. What happened about some people’s claims of police-instigated violence? Who knows. (In one the police were confirmed to have batton charged peaceful protestors with no warning, but were let off.) And of course, the war criminal and friends inside the Hyatt hotel, who were the target of the protests, remained fundamentally unchallenged by reporters, in the usual ritual-feudal-tribute that is characteristic of any media backed by significant funding. There have been few if any major protests here since, and Melbourne IndyMedia shut down after persistent trolling, while Australian authorities seem to have tried to use the leverage of the protest violence accusations to actively subvert potential participants of more recent protest events. The many recent stories on this theme have lead to a growing awareness of infiltration and subversion of political movements, which together with increased secret police powers under ‘anti-terrorism’ Acts of Parliament, would seem to suppress true protest and debate; giving the hotbed-of-democracy image of Melbourne a rather hollow feel these days. Albert Einstein (German: ˈalbɐt ˈaɪ̯nʃtaɪ̯n ; English: IPA: /ˈælbɝt (-ət) ˈaɪnstaɪn/) (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist. He is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass–energy equivalence, expressed by the equation E = mc2. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics “for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.” Einstein’s many contributions to physics include: Special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism / General theory of relativity, a new theory of gravitation which added the principle of equivalence to the principle of relativity / Founding of relativistic cosmology with a cosmological constant / The first post-Newtonian expansions for the perihelion advance of planet Mercury and frame-dragging / The deflection of light by gravity and gravitational lensing / An explanation for capillary action / The first fluctuation dissipation theorem which explained the Brownian movement of molecules / The photon theory and wave-particle duality from the thermodynamic properties of light / The quantum theory of atomic motion in solids / Zero point energy / The semiclassical version of the Schrodinger equation / Relations for atomic transition probabilities which predicted stimulated emission / The quantum theory of a monatomic gas which predicted Bose-Einstein condensation / The EPR paradox / A program for a unified field theory by the geometrization of physics. / Einstein published over 300 scientific works and over 150 non-scientific works In 1999 Time magazine named him the “Person of the Century”, and according to Einstein biographer Don Howard, “to the scientifically literate and the public at large, Einstein is synonymous with genius. Young Native American by his dugout canoe. Image redone in LucisArt.
This image epitomises a bygone era of elegance, style and charm – halcyon days of weekend house parties attended by “bright young things”, when afternoon tea and croquet on the lawn preceded a civilised evening of cocktails, dinner and charades. The car featured is Halle Selassie’s splendid 1933 Rolls Royce. I recaptured a sense of this era – gracefully modelled by Touchen – at Oldway Mansion, Paignton, Devon, once the home of Isaac Singer, founder of the renowed sewing machine company. Isadora Duncan, the lover of his son Paris, was often seen dancing here – a wild free spirit amidst the opulence.
Suited up for a day at the beach on the couch. / This photo is part of a series done for a friend’s birthday in which about 40 people were photographed in random situations wearing a suit with a briefcase and their first initial printed on it – the photos were printed and framed to spell a birthday message.
