Photographic based digital montage – 2007 (no 2 from series of 3 re-worked). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Thank you to both models who wish to remain anonymous. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Just Sometimes (Song of Laughter and Forgetting) by Swervedriver – entered in Red Bubble ‘songmanip07 – Musical Photo Competition’. So many great entries. Regards to all for voting for this peice. Model – Meluxine The height of winter, she’s laying on wet frozen ground, in a vintage dress and my ugg boots, full to the brim with Hungry Jacks, watching me dance like a crazy person with a head cold around her when suddenly the sun breaks through right at the perfect moment, and she manages to pull of that look like it’s as easy as microwave popcorn. / This girl rocks. The fact that she said ‘yes’ to this request proves she is just as insane as I am. / - / While setting up this shot I was explaining to my model how flourescent light looks green in camera and that she therefore looked like a single cherry in a bunch of grapes. I think deep down I have a bit of a thing for pirates. When it came time to do this shoot I seemed to have an awful lot of pirate accessories just lying around waiting to be used. It was good to get it out of my system. Only problem is now I can’t stop thinking of excuses to take more pirate photos. And for a sydney mainstream model that’s just plain unheard of ; ) MUA/Hair – Becca + Jacxx @ Prophecy Makeup A total fluke shot, we were walking back from the location and we passed through Waymouth Street in the city where they were doing construction on the street. The guys were already gobsmacked, so I simply asked and they were more than happy to oblige. / It was funny though, they all pulled out their phones and started taking photos of us, because they said their mates would never believe them otherwise. / Thanks boys, you guys rule.
