Dresden is a city in Eastern Germany that was infamously decimated by RAF bombings in February of 1945, killing over 20 thousand people. In the back left of this picture is The Frauenkirche, only recently restored. I took this picture last year but wanted to create an old time feel.

Nightshot (10sec exposure) of the side wall of the Zwinger Palace in Dresden, Germany, formerly part of the Dresden fortress of which the outer wall is conserved. The name derives from the German word Zwinger (outer ward of a concentric castle); it was for the cannons that were placed between the outer wall and the major wall. This city was firebombed in 1945 and is being painstakingly rebuilt to its pre-war splendor.
