Natural Arch once was a waterfall until the water scoured out the basalt in the pools upstream on Cave Creek. Cave Creek is one of the many tributaries that form the Nerang River. Gold Coast Hinterland.
Brisbane’s story bridge and city view with Orion’s belt in the night sky
Positioning himself for this sand dredging barrel over rocks at Burleigh Heads

Hope for the best that you don’t slip and ask yourself “Why are those guys lining up over there?”(out of view-left) surfer on the rocks, Currumbin Alley
Sun’s just set over The Alley(Currumbin Creek). With views from Palm Beach to the last high rise at Main Beach, Gold Coast
A surfer walks out along the sand bank for an afternoon wave at The Spit
Most days when walking my dog at The Spit, I run into John the Fisherman. Chasing Tailor. End up with the song of the same name stuck in my head until i can play it on the drive home

Summer is over and storms have been few and far between this year on the Gold Coast. This little show lasted 10 minutes before it was out to sea. Looking towards Main Beach across the Broadwater, Gold Coast(04/03/09) View more of my storm images / / Storms
Surfers Paradise twilight. This shall be the last I upload from this fishing spot – might have to find a new one. I might come back and give some star trails a go(really do need to face more to the east though)
You know it’s getting late in the rainforest when the sun is getting low and shining across the Piccabeen Palms and forest floor and you have a climb back up the side of the mountain. Somewhere on the eastern side of Mount Tamborine, Gold Coast Hinterland
A couple of catamarans moored in the Southport Broadwater with the last light of the sun reflecting of the Hi-Rises of Main Beach. / This is another image to return from exile to RB due to my up-coming plans.
From the 6 star Versace’s with the bright sails of Marina Mirage just behind and the Hi-Rises of Main Beach further to the south, this area is one of the more upmarket areas on the Gold Coast to shop and play. As for the boats? They’re all the small ones. The bigger yatchs sit out at the end of the marinas.
The car park was quite full with all the anglers out fishing on the full moon at The Southport Seaway. The jetty and the beaches further south had large numbers and more were arriving as I left
Two rowers make the most of the last available light while training on the Nerang River, Gold Coast. / While the fish are still bighting, I’ll return to my trusted spot and promise to go easy on the same view I have most days.
A collection of images from the Gold Coast’s Surfers Paradise. Thinking about images for this calendar for 2010. Might need to get out and shoot some new ones for this.
At the time I just got a digital camera(late 2006), had 1gb of memory, no tripod, no pc and was living many miles from nowhere. / I’ve lost half the files from just over 6 months of time served at Yulara State going round and round in circles always in a clock work direction. / This was my escape from the Voyages to the Outie and the bottom of a bottle from being cramped in ShareShare. Not for sale due to rules and regulations as it’s not approved. If you’d really like it there’s a slight price increase to get this permitted for sale.
A lot of cloud about at Sunset today on the Gold Coast with the result of a blue sky and a blue river. The river’s looking a little murky but the fish don’t seem to mind it so far. / Familiar spot over-looking the Nerang River towards Surfers Paradise.
