The Isle of Skye lies of the West Coast of Scotland. I was sitting on top of a cliff on the Island at 4am with my Border Collie and Camera by my side, just dreaming till day break when i spotted the light over what I call the Lower Isles breaking through the early morning clouds. My dreams had come true. CANON EOS 300D / 18-55mm Lens / Tripod / Remote

views: 3424 / favs: 51 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. A Place For Wishes And Dreams. A digital montage created using three different photos I took. I cut the wishing well away from its background. Then I brought it into this file ( the lake ) and placed it where I wanted it. I then chose a photo of clouds to bring in as well – to give it the impression of being somewhere other-worldly. I adjusted the Transparency of the imported layers to soften them and make them look like a natural part of the scene. The original is a photograph of Lake Macquarie in Newcastle, Australia.
Another experiment, just going outside of what I know and playing with some different ways of creating my works. Thanks for viewing.

The Flat Earth Society / “The facts are simple,” says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. “The earth is flat.” He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe. “Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world,” he contends. The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon. Johnson’s beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible.

Song by Dave Matthews Standing here / The old man said to me / Long before these crowded streets / Here stood my dreaming tree / Below it he would sit / For hours at a time / Now progress takes away / What forever took to find / Now he’s falling hard / He feels the falling dark / How he longs to be / Beneath his dreaming tree / Conquered fear to climb / A moment froze in time / When the girl who first he kissed / Promised him she’d be his / Remembered mother’s words / There beneath the tree / No matter what the world / You’ll always be my baby / Mommy come quick / The dreaming tree has died / The air is growing thick / A fear he cannot hide / The dreaming tree has died / Oh have you no pity / This thing I do / I do not deny it / All through this smile / As crooked as danger / I do not deny / I know in my mind / I would leave you now / If I had the strength to / I would leave you up / To your own devices / Will you not talk / Can you take pity / I don’t ask much / But won’t you speak / Please / From the start / She knew she had it made / Easy up ‘til then / For sure she’d make the grade / Adorers came in hordes / To lay down in her wake / She gave it all she had / But treasures slowly fade / Now she’s falling hard / She feels the fall of dark / How did this fall apart / She drinks to fill it up / A smile of sweetest flowers / Wilted so and soured / Black tears stain the cheeks / That once were so admired / She thinks when she was small / There on her father’s knee / How he had promised her / You’ll always be my baby / Daddy come quick / The dreaming tree has died / I can’t find my way home / There is no place to hide / The dreaming tree has died / Oh if I had the strength / Take me back / Save me please -Dave Matthews Band Shot taken- Mt Wellington
