    This is the original ‘Sleeping Cat’ poem I wrote in 1999. These nine lines were the seed that would lead me to begin my cat painting journey two years later. The poem was originally titled ‘Sleeping Cats’ but I renamed it to ‘The Dream Chaser’ four years later when I revisited the text and expanded it with more verses. The extra verses became a second poem called Catching the Stars The Dream Chaser was the name of my very first cat painting, featuring my uniquely styled cat face, created in 2002.
