  • My first effort at doing the ‘poem as image’ thing :) The poem is here on RedBubble. This poem is about my inspiration for creative writing, my muse. She comes to me by night. The demands of the day keep us apart, and I miss her…

  • I’ve Seen Her I’ve seen my love; I’ve seen her pass, She walks with such a grace. She turned and smiled across at me, The sun upon her face. And I could swear I caught the scent, The fragrance of her hair. Could I believe – should I believe, Her spirit blessed me there? Her eyes so bright, they shone with love, No pain to cloud them now, And when she laughed, no line was seen, Across that perfect brow. Oh love, if you would only wait, Beyond the tears and pain, We’ll walk together, hand in hand, In love, In peace, Again. David George

  • As I awoke one dreary day I looked around to my dismay / The sun was hiding beneath the clouds / The wind howled ceaselessly / It looked to be another day to simply meld into the next / The cold wind chilled my bones and left frost upon my dress / But somethin else was in the air / a vibe I could not place / Somethin was enticing me without words or smell or taste / So out we went into the world to seek what we could find / And halfway thru our journey we gasped in our delight / For all around us we were blessed, as far as the eye could see / Butterfliez in all their magick / dancing in the breeze… All work (including images, and writings) copyright dimarie painter / / Click here for work details and credits if any apply… / Click on any category above for that genre… or / Click here to go back to my profile page ... thanx :)

  • Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.

  • /beautiful song If You’re Not The One performed by Daniel Bedingfield/ If you’re not the one then why does my soul feel glad today? / If you’re not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way? / If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call? / If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all? I never know what the future brings / But I know you are here with me now / We’ll make it through / And I hope you are the one I share my life with If I don’t need you then why am I crying on my bed? / If I don’t need you then why does your name resound in my head? / If you’re not for me then why does this distance maim my life? / If you’re not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife? I don’t know why you’re so far away / But I know that this much is true / We’ll make it through / And I hope you are the one I share my life with / And I wish that you could be the one I die with / And I’m praying you’re the one I build my home with / I hope I love you all my life I don’t wanna run away but I can’t take it, I don’t understand / If I’m not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am / Is there any way that I can stay in your arms? ‘Cause I miss you, body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away / And I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today / ‘Cause I love you, whether it’s wrong or right / And know I can’t be with you tonight / You know my heart is by your side… More photos: / /

  • Everything changes, but feeling remains / Something so tender I cant explain / Well I may be dreaming but till I awake / Can we make the dream last forever? / And I’ll cherish all the love we share….. /lyrics from song A Moment Like This performed by Leona Lewis/ Featured in the group “Buyer’s R Us” October, 2008 / Featured in the Group Two Word Challenge March 01, 2009 /

  • I guess it doesn´t make much sense to talk about how some words keep floating in our minds for some time, and the need to create something in order to, somehow, get rid of them or, at least, to live in peace with them. It doesn´t make much sense, I know, not here. / The day I read One tear by Linaji I knew I´d have a hard time with the expression “private tear”. This is all I could do to compensate those feelings.

  • The Tibetan word Bardo means literally “intermediate state” – also translated as “transitional state” or “in-between state” or “liminal state”. / There are six traditional bardo states known as the Six Bardos: the Bardo of This Life, the Bardo of Meditation, the Bardo of Dream, the Bardo of Dying, the Bardo of Dharmata (Reality) and the Bardo of Existence. I’ve long been fascinated by the concept of the various bardos and this image has a dream bardo kind of feel for me. Many thanks to bodhiimages / for the use of his beautiful poem / bardo/song for the dead to be at peace, in this heart of hearts
/ even when one, so precious, departs
/ seeing the truth, neither here nor there
/ trusting this life, so unique, so rare
/ everything changes, in the blink of an eye
/ knowing the mind is as vast as the sky
/ clouds may come and rain may fall
/ and strings of the heart will always call
/ let them play their sweet songs of joy
/ a melody so pure, no thought could destroy / be at one and look within, remain peacefully aware
/ of everything and everyone, let love shine
/ everywhere. © tim buckley | bodhi images Featured in the groups Tunnel Vision / The Art of Intrigue & / Nirvana

Thou who doth move my soul, / Verily I say unto thee, / Come hither unto me and lay thee down. Thou dost move the stars. / Yet thou dost still them, too. / Thou causeth the sky reflect thine eyes. Come hither unto me. / Dwell with me in this house, / In this bed. Layest thou down, / Betwixt petals of my tortured heart, / my tender soul, my gardens. Come hither, my beloved. For thy beauty hath no equal, / And my love for thee, no bounds. Come hither, my darling, / And never, never goeth. Thou hast caused me wax tears again. / Thereby, shalt thou know, thou art beloved. Come hither, thou, and lay thee down, poet. Thou art my beloved. Thou art my beloved, evermore…

  • / This work was inspired by the wonderful poem UMBRELLA of the very talented artist ANAISNAIS / Thank you Anna-Marie for let to share this beautiful poem here. ’’ UMBRELLA / / by Anaisnais There she stands / Centre stage for all to see / Tall and slender / Precariously she balances. I reach out for her / Draw her to me / My hand skims her body / Slowly reaches her skirt. Playful fingers find hidden areas / Delighted her legs spring forth / Displaying the very beauty / Of her delicately placed, adorned skirt. Gaily she dances around / Dizzily twisting and turning / In the brightness of day shading / She gently tends to my needs. Personal ballerina takes to toes leaping / Merrily bobbing up and down / As emotional to her performance / Clouds cry a thousand tears for her. Reaching our destination / Slightly shaken, she leans / Watches me, / Quietly drips, against the wall. Reminiscent of the day’s fulfillment / We acknowledge one another, silently / Restful knowing we shall be / One, once more. ’’ I truly appreciate all your kind comments and support. / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / As we wrap into lovers embrace. / A kiss from that rose as homeward we go, / To a bed clothed in satin and lace. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / With passion and warmth do we grasp. / A kiss from that rose that blossoms and blooms, / My hand in her labour pain clasp. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / That wanton and curvy young bride. / A kiss from that rose that huddles our babe, / So loving, in motherly pride.
