While the imagery is very much the same, this is actually more of a serene, dreamy concept. One of simply floating in the wonder of life itself, and letting the beauty carry you. I did this one last night …I have just been going into my mind trying to let go of bad moments and sift though the good stuff ….I guess find the magic I love the water ..always have …and when I was younger i found the back of someones property that had the best dock I could sit on ….I would sit there some morning and think being lost at sea would be the best thing ….sailing to differenrt lands as they came …..it was my time that I could relax laying on my stomach hands in the water and think peaceful thoughts of a life much bigger than mine. 14”x11” on wood panel

One of the most beautifull waterfalls I have ever visited, this is Scaleber Force in Yorkshire , England. The green of the moss makes it so mystical even though it is still winter. 2 sec exposure @ f16 iso 100

Thanks to Dana For The photo of me! The rest of the image is compiled from photos I took. / Basically the message here is / No matter how stormy life gets… / No matter how pulled in 20 directions you feel… / No matter stressed you get.. / There is hope, and it is a place that resides in you / A Place where no pain can touch you… / A place for Internal Peace, even only for a moment / It is yours, it is In you, and you can find it / All you need do is look.

oil on canvas / 80cm x 90cm / I have just come from the BAA awards night, and while I didn’t receive an award (even though I wore my lucky eiffel tower earrings!), this painting did seem to generate a lot of interest from the viewing public…there was at one stage, two men standing in front of it, pointing to this and that in the painting, a bit of wild gesticulation…my husband sidled over to eavesdrop…all positive. there was certainly someone in front of it at every point in the evening! / / /

this is my (nearly 13 yr old) daughter doing cartwheels in the water at hervey bay… looking at this image makes me think of my childhood for some reason, not sure if it’s because i have just celebrated my 20 yr school reunion and am feeling a little nostalgic… and old… and quite certain i couldn’t do cartwheels anymore, let alone in the water on wet sand :-( /
