Digital art based on a story I wrote once.

This is an older piece from way back in my “I’M GOING TO USE MARKERS ON EACH AND EVERYTHING I MAKE AND THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT SUCKA!” phase. (It’s kind of a lame phase, I know…shut up.) I have absolutely no idea what supposed to be going on it. Maybe it’s also from my “I’M GOING TO DRAW COMPLETE AND TOTAL NONSENSE AND THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT SUCKA!” phase? I dunno. You know what? Just turn your back to me and pretend that I’m not even here. If I could do it to myself, I would.
It was the end of a gorgeous day at White Point Beach Lodge on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The sun was shining down on parts of the white wash and making it glow so pretty that I had to capture a bit of it.
just spent a wonderful afternoon on my favourite sandbridge, St Ninian’s… / i guess the ocean’s in my veins :))

re-working an old music book – Sea Drift by Frederick Delius ….........collage including an altered postcard, pen drawing, acrylic and pastel delighting in the muse / singing through my sleep / in the eternal sea-drift….. her home of rock and spume / surrounded by my blood, / her sighs / in my tears / her memory is sanctuary…...
This is my second version of “Sailing on sunbeams”. I changed the composition and this one is not textured. / Mixed media work: Thea Walstra / CanDuCreations / /
An enchanting mermaid holds in her hands a globe of power .. does she seek the past or the future
acrylic on canvas /
Forever is a long time, / A dream of a man, / Whose eyes, / Whose soul is searching, / Where can I look, / For my dream of forever, / But I dream…..I must dream.
My soul….somewhere in between the land and the sea…. Another watercolor painting Sea- Drenched Soul I leave my anchor behind / and I burst forth into the night / only to travel to the sea / where I take a swim / and roll with the blue waves / until they spit me out onto the deserted shore / like aged, washed out driftwood- / I stay where the sea leaves me / sprawled on the sand / too tired to move / The grains of sand move beneath me / but they don’t cling to my sea-drenched soul / they slide off like tears on sad cheeks / I turn my eyes towards the stars / and stare for hours- / my mind….empty / so empty / like an open space of time / then I begin to weep / why? what for? / I don’t know…. / oh how I weep / I am so tired Then / an orange glow streaks the skies like paint- / yet another dawn / I must go back now…. / and with a heavy soul / I reluctantly leave my world behind / to face another day
The view from the nature strip at Dixon Park Beach on a very sunny Winters afternoon in July.
After the planet exploded into many soaring pieces, the Flylands, this young warrior named Sheenesha found himself awakening on this very small island. / His first view after opening the eyes fell on a big, glowing sword…....which was stuck to the ground like he had heard in the myths about Excalibur. / Now he stood up and is not sure what to do…...try to take it? / Do nothing? What will happen if I touch it? So many questions and nobody there to ease the decision….............. / Maybe it would be better to wait until the sun will rise. / This bad big moon might mean no good….. ___ / A digital painting based on a 3D Rendering made in Vue. / ___ / / . /
A 2010 calendar of selected paintings by Beth Anna Hynum. A year round invitation to a space where shadow confounds with dream, where the figures tucked into a maritime abyss give glimpses of delicious nights in a cocoon of well-being- reminding us to always take a deep breath.
