This image was made especially for my friend, Diana Moya! If not for her support, and her passion for Art, my expressions might of just set on a shelf! I still have a long ways to go, and much to learn, but I will continue plugging away! Her passion for Art, is truely an inspiration, for all of those she comes into contact with! There are many people here in Frisco, Texas, that she has helped somehow to promote their own expressions, and has made a difference in our community! She will be turning over the position of President of the VAGF, soon! She will be returning to follow her own creative passions, and expressing herself through her own amazing artistic talents! We where very lucky to have her, and beleive most would agree! I hope to get more of them involved with this project! There are all the kids in the school! And all the artists that have joined the VAGF, and many others in the community as well!

I was blessed to have Mountain Lion visit me in a dream this week, so I created this art to honor him. I hear stories of sightings of these beautiful animals around here in Estes Park, Colorado, but have never had the privilege of seeing one in the wild… Mountain Lion teaches us about asserting our own Personal Power without hesitation….something I am learning about in my own daily life.

In dreams, trees are the symbols of individual growth and development through life. Roots are the foundation: strong and deep means connection with spiritual source; shallow is poor support, unaware of inner strength. The trunk represents the backbone or source of strength. Limbs are talents and abilities, opportunities for self expression. The leaves are the many manifestations of your gifts, the results of flowering or producing in the world. This tree was photographed on Paradise Island, in the Bahamas and was a spot we loitered around alot while there for a week…a most powerful teacher and a magnificent standing person.

Coloured Pencil and Ink on 280 gsm Glass Ivory Paper - / (40cm x 60cm) Worked on this one for over a week, through the wee small hours of the mornings. All my art is cathartic, it’s how I balance my life, creating is my reason to go on. When I’m up I create, when I’m down I create, creativity is my balance. I did this as one of my first experiments into coloured pencil art, and found the whole ‘colouring in’ process so very relaxing and calming. I couldn’t help but feel happyness and joy while doing this. I spent every moment I could as a child, laying on my tummy, drawing, colouring. This went through many phases..I hand drew the native merged it onto a drum and started adding texture to it,some of my wrinkle art. Then photoshop to add more brush work and I used dry brush #60,25,and then natural brushes 75 and 30. / I used the saturation and burn tools brushes natural #75 and 50. MUSIC Someday when we look at the land / Someday when we learn what we have done / Someday when the land fights back / Someday then we will understand
