  • In a place as surreal as this, its hard not to day dream. This was taken at an ancient, monastery which was destroyed by Henry the eighth once upon a time. Sort of represents what i was feeling at this time, not this exact moment but this part of my life. Stopping for a second, trying to figure out where wanted to go, how i would get there. Taking a brief moment to reflect.

  • Fountains Abbey was founded by Benedictine monks in 1132 and taken over by the Cistercians three years later. By the mid-12th century it was the richest abbey in Britain. The Abbey fell into ruins during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century. Today you can still almost hear them…

  • About ten years ago I wrote this song. It was pure and wonderful fantasy. However, it ended up being prophetic. And, six years ago when this man here found me; he made the dream come true. I have wanted, for some time now, to do a piece of art inspired by this song, and our love story. This piece is a compostite of a self-portrait Jamie took (of himself, obviously) and a self-portrait I took of me (yeah, obviously). After blending the two portraits together, I Ortonized the whole thing to give it a very intentional dreamy look. PLEASE, I urge you – implore you, even – to LISTEN to the song, here: The Dream, I think listening to it, with the music, will help you grasp the import of this piece better than just reading the lyrics alone will…but, I’ll post them, too…and you can read along as I sing. The Dream / Lyrics and Music by: / Autumn Dawn Leader / Copyright © Autumn Dawn Leader He sees her in the moonlight. / She dances in his dreams. / He feels her reaching out to him, / calling out his name, / calling, ‘Wake up, / I’m waiting for you, / Come to me, / I cry out to you, / Find me now, / I’m waiting for you to wake up / And make the dream come true. / Make the dream come true…’ Sweet kisses in the moonlight, / Embraces in the dark. / Together in this moment, / In each other’s arms, / She whispers, ‘Wake up, / I’m waiting for you, / Come to me, / I cry out to you, / Find me now, / I’m waiting for you to wake up / And make the dream come true.’ FEATURED in the group Models With A Difference

  • This child is 11 years old. My Portrait theme An artistic representation of a person, the face and its expression predominant within the frame. I am exploring the image of a person in a still position, in order to successfully engage the subject with the viewer. Hopefully, I would have conveyed the true likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. Feedback will help me to establish my success with this venture!! Equipment: Canon EOS 30D Lens: EFS 17- 85mm

  • Here’s a photo I took today of my little girl… she insisted on dressing up in her wings so I decided to go with it and this was the result! / Processed in RAW in Lightroom 2 / Nikon D200 / 18-20mm lens

  • Just havin a little fun! I have always dreamed of walking down that red carpet! :)

  • This is a ‘still life’/’self-portrait’ idea I spontaneously had one day. The magnifying glass was a gift for my 50th Birthday. The photo being magnified is of me (during a modeling period of my life) taken around 1989. I wanted to depict a dreamlike quality of how time passes and the experiences one has along the way.

  • Dreams in the negative: / No pain. / No hunger. / No fear. / No hate. / No helplessness. Are they dreams if they’re backwards? / Can we dream that way? / Can we dream from the wrong direction? She knew only the inversion. / She felt only the wrong way round. / She never / (another negative) / Had a dream that spoke to something facing forward: Comfort. / Plenty. / Peace. / Love. But what’s the positive of helplessness? / Control? That’s all she had and it was a nightmare. / Poor backwards thing. / Facing the wrong way round. / An inversion of the soul. / Always running away. / Never toward. Photo image (shot by me), scanned image of glass beads, along with digital painting; Photoshop Elements 3 and CanoScann 8800F. /
