Thank you so much to all my fellow bubblers’ well wishes with regards to my joint exhibition show :D I’m most happy to update you with the news that The Dreamer was sold yesterday to a Belgian(they are called Belgians right?) customer! I was down at the show yesterday….just to see how things were and of cos I dont deny the fact that I hope to meet someone who will love my work enough to buy….so I went around looking at others’ works…then I came to my own…and I saw 3 men looking at my owls :D So I mustered enough courage to introduce myself as the one behind the owls…so to cut the whole story short, one of the men said his mum is a super fervent owl lover and he’s looking for a birthday present for his mum! I couldnt believe my ears and my heart was just leaping with joy! So now The Dreamer is going to reside in some part of Belgium and in the loving hands of a fellow owl lover! :D I brought my cam along and wanted to take a shot with this customer…and guess what..no SD card inside, I left it in the laptop, so no pics to show here today. He did get his friend to take a pic of us so I really hope he remembers to email me :D The painting looks exactly like the framed print above…black frame with black board within :D Happy happy! Another 7 days before the show closes :D “The Dreamer” is also available in many other products in my Zazzle Gallery :D

It was really delightful to be informed by Karen Cook that my Love Is Lighting Up Somebody Else’s Darkest Moments is being featured side by side with Karen’s at the RB’sFeatured Wall Art And Greeting Cards :D It’s my first feature there, so exciting!! :D Many thanks to the Singapore Group for featuring both Heartstrings and Wish Upon A Star too!! :D My sales in zazzle have also started to pick up, I have 4 sales this week… Sales at Zazzle was really slow for me initially…no sales for first 2 months, it got really discouraging…but thought I would just press on and see how,glad I did because I made close to 20 sales in the last 1 month plus or so,really counting my blessings everyday for that. I am about 3 plus months into Zazzle :D I want to mention special thanks to Ujean for being that constant beacon of light for me at zazzle…for those who are in Zazzle, maybe like me,you may feel like a small fish in the ocean,so tiny and lost there at times. Ujean visited my gallery many times and often gave me encouraging comments and suggestions,enough fuel from her to help me last another 3 months,haha! Mornings 2 For Romo I think of you when I dream dancing through the grass. / Your lovely smile is full of love as you jump so high. / I see your face so full of joy your smile shines bright this day. / And as you jump up in the sky I watch as you fly high. / In this dream you fly with birds up above the clouds. / And then you come back to the ground and fly back up with me. / We kiss and dance from cloud to cloud as you hold my hand, / And then we fall back down to earth as I hold on to you. / This is a dream and this I know I wish life was this way. / Then you and I could dance on clouds and kiss the night away. Just got up, haven’t eaten yet. Spent a long-short night, if you know what I mean. Dreams were about pushing pixels and having them push me back. I can SEE the things I want to do, in my mind’s little eye, but I don’t know how to do the things, many times. And, like most of my life, those images in my mind that wait for creation are scattershot, all over the place, not in a consistent style or technique. I can feel a clay jug in my mind, that I would form and then paint and then photograph with caressing light, but I don’t make clay things and I still don’t know how to make my digital camera paint with light. I don’t even know if I want the jug to look like a water pitcher jug or more like a nitrogen-carrying vessel on Jupiter. And I don’t know art. I never really studied it, except the usual school dabblings. I don’t really know the styles and the techniques. I never minded that, until now. NOW I’m surrounded by good work, cool work, great work. The things that I see in my mind’s little eye are still waiting, but they’re feeling drab and incomplete. And unnamed. So the dreams of last night didn’t help much. My muse slept. Today I need to do un-art things, like pay bills and scrub the bathroom. And do laundry and change sheets. I’ll take a walk and not take my camera: maybe I’ll notice something that I’ll want to get a shot of so much that it makes my teeth ache, and I’ll know what I want to do. Once I know WHAT, maybe I’ll be able to figure out HOW. Have a good day, everyone.
