  • Your love’s a gathered storm I chased across the sky / A moment in your arms became the reason why / And you’re still the only light that fills the emptiness / The only one I need until my dying breath / And I would give you everything just to / Feel your open arms / And I’m not sure I believe anything I feel And now, now that you’re near / There’s nothing more without you / Without you here And I’m trying to believe / In things that I don’t know / The turning of the world / The color of your soul / That love could kill the pain / Truth is never vain / It turns strangers into lovers / And enemies to brothers / Just say you understand / I never had this planned And now, now that you’re near / There’s nothing more without you / Without you here / Without you here / There’s nothing more without you / Without you here My head lies to my heart / And my heart it still believes / It seems the ones who love us are the ones / That we deceive / But you’re changing everything / You’re changing everything in me And now, now that you’re near / There’s nothing more without you / Without you here (lyrics – Without You Here -Goo Goo Dolls) *S E L F P O R T R A I T morph 1

  • views: 3424 / favs: 52 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. • Original acrylic painting on canvas 24” x 30” / I have always loved photography, but it was a means to an end. I wanted ideas for painting. This painting really came from a deep instinct. It was the first time that I just let it happen as I went along. The color seemed to take shape in the back ground and soon I notice that it looked like spirits. Were they guiding me? I think they were. This is an / /

  • A kind of surreal image of a stream in the winter with a few ps adjustments to give it that surreal look of an image in a dream. I love this stream but the picture itself did not look as good as it could have-I love all the tiny rivers and streams around where I live they always seem so enchanted! • / This work was inspired by the wonderful poem UMBRELLA of the very talented artist ANAISNAIS / Thank you Anna-Marie for let to share this beautiful poem here. ’’ UMBRELLA / / by Anaisnais There she stands / Centre stage for all to see / Tall and slender / Precariously she balances. I reach out for her / Draw her to me / My hand skims her body / Slowly reaches her skirt. Playful fingers find hidden areas / Delighted her legs spring forth / Displaying the very beauty / Of her delicately placed, adorned skirt. Gaily she dances around / Dizzily twisting and turning / In the brightness of day shading / She gently tends to my needs. Personal ballerina takes to toes leaping / Merrily bobbing up and down / As emotional to her performance / Clouds cry a thousand tears for her. Reaching our destination / Slightly shaken, she leans / Watches me, / Quietly drips, against the wall. Reminiscent of the day’s fulfillment / We acknowledge one another, silently / Restful knowing we shall be / One, once more. ’’ I truly appreciate all your kind comments and support. / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. • Digital fine art in oil painting style by Mariska / December/2009 This is a collaborate work with the very talented Anna-Marie Docherty aka Anaisnais. / I’ve read her beautiful poem and here is the result . Some new tomorrow / by Anaisnais In death we departed, / you knew your time had come. / Your body rose to meet last breath, / then sunk again, to hold / forever’s peace within your chest. Such frozen coldness set your bones, / grey/blue lips, syanosis undertones; / and what for me to do next, / but search your soul, / which lies not in your breast? Confused, perplexed, / I know you do not sleep; / but watch the world go by. / Not in the casket buried 6 foot deep, / yet in my heart and mind. A trace of sadness, / not understanding yet; / and nothing to lose. / So mournful these tears I cry, / unseen under the mist of time. Saying Goodbye the next life’s waiting, / I see the road back in different light. / Wavering unsafe over the horizon, / I conjure dream like wraiths; / sinister and heavy against the spirits. Where memories leap / you will not die, / for patiently you’ll wait; / and until then I know you’ll stand / like sentinal at gate. I know you keep a watch o’er us, / protect from harm / all those you loved. / Through long and lonely hours I sigh, / remembering long lost days gone by. You keep me warm / and comfort me in ways / Only you could ever know how / Until we meet again some day / some bright new tomorrow.
