This is a painting of hope and encouragement, strength and drive to reach the stars and keep a hold of them. Soar and never stop, dream and keep on hoping. Dance to your own music, sing your own songs and pray you always have the strength to do so. The following poem goes with the painting called “I Will Shine” A robe made of feathers / Sheer but covering, / Flowing yet steady and secure. / Wrapped in white she professes to all / “I will shine.” About this piece: Each piece of the background has quilted edges. / The sun is medallion like / When viewed closely the female figure’s gown has a feather-like appearance. / Each piece of the background has it’s own rocky landscape texture. / The only piece of the background without a winding landscape is the sun. The pieces all have their own boundary lines, their own existence apart from the rest. Each piece has it’s own colour. The textures are similar but no two are an exact match. These puzzle-like pieces symbolize difficulties, stops and obstacles that we face on different roads in our life. However, when all the pieces are put together and the flaws of our existence overlooked the view can be bright and beautiful. Hope is absolutely always on the horizon. Let yourself shine with it. Thanks for visiting, / F. Magdalene

I am always here for you each passing day. / I am always here for you no matter what they say. / You may travel from far and wide, here and there. / No matter where you go, I am always here for you. / The sun will rise, and the sun will set. / Whenever you get upset, just remember what I say / I am always here for you. / No one can take away the happiness you possess / because I am always here for you and only you. / Some loves may fall by the wayside, / some might even run aground, / but you know in your heart / I am always here for you. /poem by David Harris/

When you are down and you want to get high, / Just take a good look Up in the sky. / What you will see are the stars above, / And all you need is to proclaim your love. Who you will find and see so clear, / Are friends in mind you want to hold near. / Whenever you need them just look up high, / Call their name and see them fly. Every friend you meet owns a star / And you can see them no matter how far. / Whenever you are down and want to get high, / Just take a good look Up in the sky. / Beautiful Poem by Amanda Jenkins / Featured in the group “Both Sides Now” November 19, 2008. / More Photos: / /

Freehand drawing with simple #2 Pencil on white paper--flowers and bubbles inspired by my dreams last night of spring time coming, hopefully not to far away. It was a happy dream with these flowers/ shapes just weaving in and out all over-no color to them. No back round noted in the dream. Just watching in a haze the flower petals waving in the breeze. The bubbles were swirling all through the flowers. (NO, I don’t do rec drugs, LOL).—
A typographic design of a great quote by Goethe: “Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it”. / Just a little bit of inspiration to keep you going after what you want! / Dare to dream big!!!
an earhart chappel photograph. earhart on photography. chappel on hair , make up, props, and wardrobe. a chappel edit (the hopeless romantic i hate to admit i am!) model ‘for her love at war’ is co. a vintage beauty who sends her love off to war overseas with a small photo of herself, in the apron he gave her.weathered some what form him keeping it close to his heart during battle. and peering at it when he wants to dream, that his life will continue, and her will go home to marry her. (the apron was a gift men would send home to their loved ones at home before being sent off this apron is a real vintage apron from wwII , given to me to shoot for this series from a wonderfully colorful vintage shop here in charlottesville virginia). yes this photo made me dream off a bit.In the past i have done research on wars (revolutionary in America mostly, as i am near many a battlefield where i live). and i have read many a letter home from men at war back to their loves ones. but the sadness remains as many never made it home, alive or dead, and at times were lucky to even be buried, never mind identified. / sorry i am a sucker when it comes to stories of lost loves…chappel
There’s a lot of negativity and fearfulness out there. Some of you dear folks need to let yourself dream again. Don’t let what happens, whether a bad report, or some experience of failure, ever steal your joy! Don’t give in to despair, no matter what. Believe you have a future and a purpose. There are no mistakes or accidents in life- none, whatsoever! You a child of destiny, with a purpose to fulfill. Inside you, a dream has been planted, and only you can see it through to its accomplishment. Always keep this in mind: The angels are rooting for you!
Everything within our known universe is composed of energy and that energy manifests itself in a plethora of forms of outstanding beauty. Do we tend to speed through our existence missing the beauty that surrounds us. Many faiths describe the intense beauty found within deep meditation which is said to touch the essence of that universal power which surprisingly enough is found within. I believe they have glimpsed a view of the energy found upon the cosmic seat of consciousness at the inner core of creation. Who knows if we slow down for just a moment and stop and look, we might find a view which will take our breath away.
Inspired by Miss Susan Boyle listen here: / Contestant on “Britian’s Got Talent 2009” singing her rendition of “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables. / I saw this on the news today and was in tears after listening to her sing and hearing her life story. How deserving can one person be. She’s beautiful and her voice is magical. I wish her great success and hope she NEVER gives up her dream….xo (and I hope she wins!) Lyrics I Dreamed A Dream / (as she sings them) I dreamed a dream in time gone by / When hope was high / And life worth living / I dreamed that love would never die / I dreamed that God would be forgiving / Then I was young and unafraid / And dreams were made and used and wasted / There was no ransom to be paid / No song unsung, no wine untasted But the tigers come at night / With their voices soft as thunder / As they tear your hope apart / And they turn your dream to shame And still I dream he’ll come to me / That we will live the years together / But there are dreams that cannot be / And there are storms we cannot weather I had a dream my life would be / So different from this hell I’m living / So different now from what it seemed / Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.
“I remember, the misty cool morning by the beach, the dark clouds rolled across the horizon in slow motion, broken rays of sunlight struggled to reach the earth as the black colorless rainbow exposed itself across the sky. I tilted my head and squinted as I breathed in the salty sweet air. Am I losing it, everything seems shattered and broken, who am I?” Writing inspired by John Fish, who stirs my imagination with every work of art and writing, a truly amazing journey to view and read his works. About ten years ago I wrote this song. It was pure and wonderful fantasy. However, it ended up being prophetic. And, six years ago when this man here found me; he made the dream come true. I have wanted, for some time now, to do a piece of art inspired by this song, and our love story. This piece is a compostite of a self-portrait Jamie took (of himself, obviously) and a self-portrait I took of me (yeah, obviously). After blending the two portraits together, I Ortonized the whole thing to give it a very intentional dreamy look. PLEASE, I urge you – implore you, even – to LISTEN to the song, here: The Dream, I think listening to it, with the music, will help you grasp the import of this piece better than just reading the lyrics alone will…but, I’ll post them, too…and you can read along as I sing. The Dream / Lyrics and Music by: / Autumn Dawn Leader / Copyright © Autumn Dawn Leader He sees her in the moonlight. / She dances in his dreams. / He feels her reaching out to him, / calling out his name, / calling, ‘Wake up, / I’m waiting for you, / Come to me, / I cry out to you, / Find me now, / I’m waiting for you to wake up / And make the dream come true. / Make the dream come true…’ Sweet kisses in the moonlight, / Embraces in the dark. / Together in this moment, / In each other’s arms, / She whispers, ‘Wake up, / I’m waiting for you, / Come to me, / I cry out to you, / Find me now, / I’m waiting for you to wake up / And make the dream come true.’ FEATURED in the group Models With A Difference
I really hope you fall in love with this latest portrait design of mine! I had been noticing for several days now a beautiful spray of beautiful baby’s breath which has surprised me as it sprouted near the woods behind my house! Oh, what a treasure & a pure delight & a wonderful blessing from God! I consider God to be the MASTER DESIGNER! I had spread seeds in my garden near my mailbox a few years ago of this type…I must have redistributed the seeds as I usually clean out all of my flower beds once the season is over! I am so excited today! Glad to share. Smiles Leilani PLEASE VIEW LARGER
