Someday… on a clear, still, moonlit night; / To the beach, is where we’ll go. / With a blanket and hot chocolate already packed; / Walk, hand in hand, on soft, warm sand; / Down to the water’s edge, where we’ll dance awhile; / Oh, to hold you close and whisper in your ear; / Those three words you’ve longed to hear. / Brush aside the hair which hides your face; / See a smile grow and laughter kiss your lips; / Then sit with you ‘til dawn‘s early light; / Your hand in my left, hot chocolate in my right. / Precious moments, dreams and memories; / Someday… with you, I want to share.

Nobody suspects that behind his well groomed, smart and bespectacled exterior that he has been touched by the unseen powers of the cosmos and now with the aid of his special glasses he sees the world with super “x-ray” artist vision. I’ve always liked this one.. not sure why though. He is the artistic equivalent of Clark Kent.. any minute now he is going to rip open his shirt. Are you really an artist ? Click here to find out

  • I saw this little guy at the zoo and he just had a cooler stride than all of the other tortoises around him, and I swear he was grinning about it too. So, I amped up the colours on his shell to reflect his style, and I’m having fun experimenting with backgrounds at the moment – so this is what happened! The original is ink and paint on board, and the tortoise is coloured pencil. And credit again to Rhonna Farrer for her Autumn Leaves flourish stamps!

  • Eclipse
    by Helen Nehill

    US$4.32–US$98.80

I used to live in Leichhardt until recently, and the fire station is a local landmark. Here I combined two photographs to create a distorted perspective – ie, you can see three sides of the building instead of two. There was a lunar eclipse at about this time. Ink and watercolour.
