  • Cynthia Lund Torroll drew and sculpted during high school. She began painting with acrylics in her brief stint in college, but went back to drawing shortly after that. Then she stopped drawing altogether – for about 15 years – and at the age of 33.3, she picked up her pencil again and drew Heliotroped. She hasn’t stopped drawing since. Her early works can be distinguished by her use of exaggerated features – primarily the eyes. As she continued, her work morphed into fantastic realism – where it’s pretty much stayed ever since. This calendar showcases some of her very early work when she began drawing again in 1989.
