This is my answer, for now, to Elvis Costello This is also a scan of an original drawing, by me. I shall probably use it, later on, to color in, paint on, manipulate, etc. for the sake of having fun with and creation of new pieces as a result.

A colorized version of “Addy” from my “Perpetual Motion” series. This uses Numberism, wherein I draw the entire piece with only the numbers 1 -12, marking the hours of the clock. This series focuses on time and taking advantage of the present, as it’s the only chance we’ll have to experience it for all it is. The original is pencil on Vellum paper. I thought the colors might be a little more fitting for this holiday season.

About This Drawing / A sketch of my elderly Staffy cross dog, Flynn, lying betwen my feet during a break. Flynn was a survivor with a mangled face (car accidents) and pus coming out of one eye, and when I took him on over 11 years ago, the vets estimated he was 9 years old. Whatever his age, he is a very old dog and I don’t know how much longer he will be with me, as he is getting frailer by the day. The thought of having him put down is incredibly painful – and having handled stock on my 10 acre block for years, I am no stranger to death. But this dog is my love. I am putting this series up as a tribute to him Drawn 1 Nov 2009 with ballpoint pen on notepaper, enhanced in Fireworks.
