  • Painted from an 1880’s photo, of the fishing port of Whitby on the North East coast of England. Here, laid up, is the collier brig, ‘Opal’. The ruins of the priory, immortalised by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, can be seen on the hill. My first pen and watercolour work. Watercolour washes over a pencil drawing, then finished in ink. • Mixed Media (Pencil drawing, graphic markers and photoshop). /

  • A mixed media piece. Colored pencils, and archival ink for the border. This drawing was done on smooth, heavy bristol paper. It sure has a different look than the ones that I’ve done on vellum bristol papers.

  • Color pencil on matt board / and manipulated with Corel Draw. / the texture is from the actual Matt Board

  • Oil Pastel and Acrylic on old wood with slight digital enhancements Ophelia, puzzled by the radical transformation that had taken place overnight to this butterfly friend of hers, thought to herself, “She was in a white thread-like casing yesterday, how did all that happen so fast? There must be something magical about that case!” This is inspired by a book Hope For The Flowers by Trina Paulus. This is a cute and yet thought provoking story about two caterpillars who because they mistake the meaning of their urge to get high, get entangled climbing a horrible “caterpillar pillar”. And for two caterpillars, we all know, surrendering to the cocoon is the only way to finally fly. Hope For the Flowers is a book that celebrates HOPE. My fave lines from the book is “How does one become a butterfly?” She asked pensively. “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” We are all meant to be as beautiful and free like the butterflies, that’s our destiny…as we free ourselves to be who we really are…and together with our innate talents,we bring hope to the world around us, bringing change inevitably around us :D / You can view and buy my other “Metamorphosis” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:

  • Oil Pastels With Acrylic (With Minor Digital Enhancements) Ophelia getting all ready and eager to make her first odyssey to space! Finally, she can dance with the stars and kiss the moon goodnight, something she can only daydream about previously. This is made possible because of Moonman who has graciously grant her this wish of visiting him at Planet 555 where he happily resides :D You can view and buy my other “First Owl In Space “creations at my Zazzle Gallery:

  • Oil Pastel And Acrylic On Wood (With Minor Digital Enhancements) All of us need HOPE in our lives and these are some of my favourite quotes on that :D “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars” – Oscar Wilde “Hope is the dream of a soul awake.” – A French Proverb “The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is to live inside that hope.” – Barbara Kingsolver (Know of someone who needs the extra “lift” in his/her life? May this be a card of encouragement to that someone you care) You can view and buy my other “Hope Lifts Me Higher” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:

  • In my Painting the Masters series, at Shipley art gallery. This is a John Callow (1822-1878) Watercolour on hand-made Not paper. / 17” x 10.5”

  • Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.

  • My version of a Thomas Bush Hardy (1842-97). From an 1895 watercolour of Ramsgate Harbour. A panoramic shaped painting, 23” x 10”. / Hand-made, 140lb rough paper. Over 20 hours work. Multiple layers of semi-transparent and opaque watercolour, and white zinc gouache for highlights. Viewing in larger size is necessary.

  • pencil on paper (Stonehenge) drawing – 22×22” – ORIGINAL SOLD / Signed and numbered limited-edition prints in two sizes are available at cynthia’s store There are so many stories to tell about this piece – wild coincidences, terrible tragedy and ultimate redemption. / I still don’t know if I can tell them all here now, but if there is one take-away to be had, it’s of the power of vulnerability and trust in oneself in the face of daunting odds… / I’ve included a not so great shot of me with the original. I had it framed so it was floating on suede. Here it is after receiving a Best of Show honor along with “Ennead”. detailed version of Event at RedBubble Please check out the numerous T’s with this drawing featured in my clothing section. /

  • pencil on paper (taken from a pad of “drawing” paper from the early 80’s) drawing Another oldie! / Ah, those big eyes I was obsessed with BACK THEN. / Well, friends tease me and say it will be considered one of my “periods”. What you can’t see is that there is a whole top layer of trees that were drawn on the black background and when you look at this from other angles, they are visible – just quietly – like a subtle varnish. This is all about different phases of life borrowing the term of growing to fullness, or “waxing” of the moon. / My name actually means: Of the moon – or lunatic – you pick which fits. hahha! (Original for sale. Email for serious queries.) / You can see it behind me in this overexposed shot from a solo show I had: /

  • Hand drawn and digitally coloured. One of my favourite shows is Outrageous Fortune, and one of the characters Pascalle West has an incredible storyline about being a kind of new age guru who tries to change everyone’s lives. She gives everyone raw food and pep talks, so I decided to create motivational posters for her :D / This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 2.5 Australia License
