“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into darkness of the unknown. Faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.” Patrick Overton.
Well here it is folks…I will put up a better quality photo later. / After hours and hours of diligent crosshatching EVERY SINGLE SCALE, I have finished. (albeit a broken woman!) / I would like to thank everyone here at RB who have supported this mammoth task, I think I would have gone nuts if it wasn’t for all your support! Thankyou!!!
Oil pastels on black A3 paper. / used a reference photo a wonderful friend took of me. thank you so much for that. / Classical style isn’t it. I’m enjoying oil pastels at the moment. I’m looking into blending techniques mostly. And yay! foreshortening! A lil. A girl full of hate falls in love too easily for her own good. kicking and screaming into paradise just to burn it down in an attempt to keep warm by a fire. she can hold back the tears but she can’t stop causing them. Oh how it hurts, more than ripping slowly at her own flesh, unstoppable by the numbing vodka that burns it’s way down her throat, keep swallowing, don’t breathe, maybe you’ll choke on it you stupid girl.
A cover art I did a while ago. / Bah, haven’t got any artwork to upload since I haven’t done any illustration lately. Just recently become unemployed again, but prefer to think it as holiday =P I need one anyway. / Ahhhh sleeping in.
drawing. story.
How long can you weep in silence? / Soon, the pain will be unbearable. / If you’re not careful, you’d lose your mind.. / And maybe even, your life.. A remake of one of my previous photomanipulation, Silenced as you can see here: Done in photoshop. Photos and drawings used to make up this piece are my own shots taken and drawings done. Comments and critics will be appreciated. Thank you! n_n Vector and Raster Prints: /
Taking a break from the Capriccios while I decide if the series is complete. / I painted the house years earlier than I got the new ink. / In light that I consider myself fairly perceptive I did not see the similarity between the walls and my skin for months after.
Watercolor , ink and pastel on Canton Paper / This work has 979 views to date 26/11/09 FEATURED IN THE AVANT-GUARDE GROUP Finally, I have finished my drawing of Nikki, and I have to say I am wrapt. I hope Nikki is also. / Now for those who don’t know my technique, first I design the composition on photoshop using my models, or muses who send me their faces. Then after that I sketch up the drawing onto a large scale A1 or larger piece of paper. Tape it to the easel and away I go. First it starts with graphite, then ink, then watercolour, then pastels, then conte and a touch of pastel here and there and VOILA! I might enter this in a competition which I have been invited to go into in Fitzroy, not sure if to enter this one or other Lady in Landscape. Please let me know what you think of this drawing in comparison to my digital mock up…some say why do a drawing at all when the digital is just as good. But I hope I have added some artistic freedom to the piece and its not exactly the same. If you would like to be a muse let me know. Thanks for looking . Billy FINISHED DRAWING – date 12.4.08 / Going to enter this works in the Works on Paper Mornington REgional Gallery this year Belinda Nye, BillyLee, Billy,
Sorry about the pun, ‘revamped!’ I’ve put a filter on my watercolour painting, to increase the moonlight atmosphere
The North Sea at Whitby. The Herring boats at misty dawn, / To get the details of the boats correct, I’ve used a Victorian photo as the subject. I liked the very hard pen ink lines of the foreground, contrasting with the soft, misty, wet-in-wet background. 90 lb watercolour, medium rough paper. / 12”x8”
Charcoal drawing and Apophysis layers And draw us near and bind us tight / all your children here in their rags of light / in our rags of light all dressed to kill / and end this night if it be your will / if it be your will / Leonard Cohen

Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.

/ Morning Light World English Bible / Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. From the ‘Connection Series’, this is a pencil drawing, coloured with aquacolour crayons on paper… i have played around with this quite a bit in photoshop also, applying layers and more colour to enrich the overall look When i ponder this, it gives me a feeling of hope, like after the mourning, there is morning and the sun comes out again….. It’s all about our connection with nature and other lofty things :)
