This is one of my most loved pieces. It is a very popular art work, and I could never part with it, so I’ve decided to sell it as prints and t-shirts. / It was painted with acrylic on canvas. The original is approximately 13(cm)x18(cm). / It was painted on 14 July 2006. This was my first attempt at a vintage nude! I am a great fan of vintage nude art work; photography and paintings. When you read all about the chaos theory and the “Butterfly Effect” and then watch a programme about insects and how they would be the only likely survivors of a global catastrosphe on an apocolyptic scale, it kinda gets you thinking… I could be wrong, but I believe that there could be some evil plan afoot… I say stamp them out now before it’s too late! Their “oh so pretty” colourful wings and cute little curly proboscis’ are obviously just a front for the evil that lurks within.. I mean, come on we’ve all seen the ugly, squishy little catterpilars that they spring from! No amount of hiding away in a chrysalis to apply a bit of slap is gonna fool me anymore… I’m wise to them now! Oh bugger, there goes one of the critters now… Challenge Cafe Entry / Kind of a twist on the “Butterfly Effect” or what might happen after.. Something tiny springing from something huge… it’s a regular occurence in nature that devastation will bring new life to a desolate area.
Colored pencil illustration of the sweet, pretty, white bell-shaped Lily of the Valley flower. Specially drawn as the first half of a birthday present for my god-daughter Lily-Rose.
Black, Blue and Red ballpoint pen illustration. Breastfeeding is one of the most beautiful and natural things on earth. / It is the best gift a mother can give her baby, it is love in liquid form… Help us make the world a less judgemental place and praise the next mum you see breastfeeding her child! We as people need to be more accepting of what is a natural beauty. / thankyou for taking the time to view my art and (hopefully) comment… / please have a look at my other artwork… / hope you enjoy! :) /
Illustration of one of my dogs, Bertha, a typical Malaysian extremely-mixed-breed of questionable pedigree—and blissfully proud of it! A sweet gift for anyone who loves animals.
Yesterday the computer system at work crashed and while it was down, I drew a black and white abstract. My dear friend, Gloria Ferreira (a red bubbler too … her work can be seen at www.redbubble.com/people/dotgsf), scanned the image onto a CD so I could play with it digitally and this is what I came up with. I named it ADM for the code we all had to charge while the system was down. Thanks, Gloria!
