  • What can I say? It masquerades as other things, like self-assessment and humility; and it looks pretty with it’s bright fizzy colors and seemingly earnest energy. But it’s mean-spirited and lethal to creativity. And it’s ALWAYS out there, waiting to pounce. I had a tussle with self-doubt today, and got a good look at it!! Digital painting and editing in Photoshop Elements 3. /

  • Heavy rain. Huyton, Liverpool

  • This is a small area (about 6”x4”) from a large acrylic and tissue paper on canvas that I did 24 years ago. I miss “real” paint. But I don’t miss clogged drains.
