Ok.. I had a choice of just a few captures of the Dragon Of Passion. As all you Digital Photo people know, Take many pictues and throw away many.. My Wife liked the first one I posted and I listen to my Wife.. She is at work now so I will upload this on Dial UP … OMG.. and share it .. For hand held and low light with a 70-300 Sigma .. I have a Super Macro coming in soon.. will work with that learning curve and limited DOF.. Please tell me to dump it if its not RB stuff.. / Chuck

Naples, Florida USA LARGE VIEW, please – for detail As I walked around the hotel this morning enjoying my Iced Mocha Coffee; watching – waiting – anticipating – on a job… I was becoming restless. Always having my camera worn as a necklace – I came across this flirty little feller. I named him Tommy. He had a confident personality and was curious about the camera and playful around me! Thats always a good thing! Also – I had read an article that I wont mention because I wouldnt recommend that site to my worst enemy but I digress. The article was regarding CENTERING IMAGES can sometimes be a wonderful effect! I wanted to give it a go here. I love the ol’ rule of the thirds but have to admit… sometimes centering an image is not only the RIGHT thing to do but it also gives terrific control in pulling the viewers eyes to the subject! He landed right in front of me with this expression as if to say ‘Morning, Miss. Im Tommy… hope you have a Kick Ass day’! He seemed to enjoy having me around and I certainly wasnt running him off – quite the poser! The morning light – those priceless hours – were working for us! It was right after dusk when the morning was about the turn to full-on day. / Admittedly – I am new to macro since getting the XTi so please consider that when viewing. Also – I dont edit yet but I am starting to play in PS – just havent got it down and feel uncomfortable with images after I use it. So I dont – but soon will. I am going to commit to it. Probably in the way of taking a class at the Miami Community College. This was actually shot with a TELEPHOTO lens – as that was the lens I had on for nature or any wildlife I may have ran across. Besides – the right telephoto lens can make for a Kick Ass Macro lens! Having the XTi – anything is possible – that in and of itself pushing my limits and is dramatically broadening my horizons. I am so grateful I chose this piece (Canon Rebel XTi) of equipment and would recommend it to anyone! I sincerely hope Y’all can see some growth taking place in my photography – hopefully even in my horizons – in general – would be killer! From the Carnivalesque series – a little tee (Originally only available in white – since the quality of the image was much clearer. However I’m making other colours available as an experiment. The white areas are lost on the colour, which I don’t particularly like – but if you do then I won’t stop you from buying one!)

Midnight Blues is from a painting i did recently on Arches Aquarelle Paper 56×76cm, a mixed media production, utilising inks, pastels, acrylics, charcoals, found objects such as string and fabric….and the most beautiful gold paint which gives the guitar it’s lustre Midnight Blues is from the Inspired Series by Karin Taylor, during the painting of this, i was strongly influenced by my favourite Australian artist, Brett Whitely, longing to capture something of the wonderful curves he created in his works. It has a dark and sombre feeling, much like how i was feeling at the time i created her. I used to laugh and carry on that my thoughts and my moods could ever be conveyed through a painting, and it was just silly that people reckoned they did so, but just look at me now….i cannot seem to prevent it happening these days!! lol…that’ll teach me to scoff :)

This Dragonfly was eating some sort of flying ant, it let me get just a few inches away and never flinched. It was fun just watching him/her eat because I’ve never seen their mouths open before :)

A new image taken just today of a single Dragonfly that found his way into the back window of my car; I don’t drive this vehicle much, as I recently purchased a newer model…..I saw him in the back window and he wasn’t moving….he turned out to be a very coorperative model for several shots; I hope you like them.
