  • This abstract draft horse reminds me of a work horse my Granddad had when I was a kid, which was half of the team he used to pull the hay wagon. In those days, we still harvested the hay loose with pitchforks and loaded a huge pile on a wooden wagon with iron wheels. The horse was named Giant, and he was so gentle that five of us kids used to ride him bareback at the same time with just a rope looped around his lower jaw, Indian style.
