I am coming close to finishing up the first draft of a novel titled “Forts” that I’ve been writing for the better part of the year, and because of that I decided to sketch up a little something with the characters.
Another illustration featuring some characters from my novel. I kind of dig this one. The background is hotter than the surface of the sun! Okay, o maybe I am being a bit dramatic…but it does look pretty cool.

I have always had a fascination for the mystique and beauty of the Venetian Carnivale Masks and, in particular, the Jester masks and would like to do a series of artworks on this fascinating theme. This particular artwork will be the subject of a tutorial on coloured pencil and ink drawing on drafting film on my website at http://www.miniatureartbykhull.com/tutorial_ii_21.html.
This was the first time this horse was in harness out in public, we were at an old time Threshing Bee. He’d never seen a big steam engine tractor, a crowd of people, or heard the steam engine blow it’s whistle. He was having a time here, getting his tongue under the bit again…he had a lot to learn that day, but he learned it very well, he was so calm and peaceful by the end of the day. His mate helped, you can see how calm she is! It was wonderful to see the way this teamster handled these horses, and to see the horses so content about doing their jobs.
