DPI is not about quality of image, it helps determine how wide and high you can print an image.
My response to ’ What Has Redbubble Done for You?...
My response to ’ What Has Redbubble Done for You? ’. It didn’t take me long to type this out, but I took a bit longer to sort out the words into a readable format. Redbubble has … 1. Allowed me to to read and write constructive articles of personal interest … specifically DPI and copyright legislation 2. Made me rethink my future, abilities, desires and career. 3. Has introduced me to the most amazing photographers around the world, a lot of whom are in my locality! 4. Made me learn / ... .... about the features of my DSLR, / ... ... how to utilise multimedia to fix and alter images, / ... ... more about the style of photography I truly prefer, / ... ... about finances and running a small business. / ... ... how to find and make customers in the REAL world. 5. Been my addiction since April 2007, and I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon. 6. Has made me realise that not every image needs a critical or complimentary comment. I’ve learnt that I am number one , I need to care more about the way I present myself, and that my clientèle deserve that respect when I am putting my name against both my own and other people’s work. / All artwork is copyright© to Stephen Mitchell, All Rights Reserved. / You may not use, replicate, manipulate, redistribute, or modify this image without my express consent.

I learn a new trick every day: Here’s one I somehow missed seeing the last time I commented on Davoid ’s article entitled : Resolution, Pixels, And DPI ’ First, always save your original photo or artwork as a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) formatted file from the start. Do all your editing, such as color corrections and cropping, on this PNG file till you get the final image you wish to submit. The reason for this is that the PNG type format is a completely lossless format, and will remain the same quality irregardless of the number of times it is being saved. ‘ Wow, who knew that? Some day I am the teacher, other days I am the student. That’s what’s so cool about life: Nobody is perfect.

There are so many tips’n’tricks, tutorials, enhancements and various other interesting articles listed around Redbubble. I’ve decided it is time to revitalise the articles I have written. / Why? Because so many writers are long-winded, overly-descriptive and their instructions are near impossible to navigate. I believe my documents cover the many issues necessary to run a successful redbubble gallery, allowing artists to successfully present their portfolio to all clientele. Self-portrait with DP1.
pastels, pencil, marker When listening to the news, my brain conjures up these images. A bull-sized prehistoric (skeletal) rodent had been found. Here’s the way I envisioned it (I know cave men wouldn’t have co-existed with it but it made for a fun drawring).
AskAChola (see her youtube channel or site below) announced she was running for President in 2008. I sent to her and she kindly used it on http://www.askachola.com/ for a day.
I had been singing along with my uke on the song “Curtis Lowe.” Since I couldn’t get it out of my head, I sketched the imagined face stuck my brain.
Someone in an on-line uke forum mentioned fruit rats…I’ve never heard of them before. I imagined them running rampant in the fruit orchards of California, where he said they were when he lived out there.
I don’t know why…I do own a uke that looks a lot like this. It’s a “Snowfluke” from Flea Market Music.
The news said a satellite (or something) was going to enter our atmosphere and was supposed to strike the state in which I live—not burning up all the way during entry. They said it would emit toxic gases and for anyone near its crash site to avoid it. I pictured myself destroying it before it reached us, hence “Got it!” with a slingshot, wearing a gas mask.
MarkDayComedy (youtube channel) did a piece on the RCC needing to bring in pirates to help convert people to Christianity because “everyone” loves pirates! Here’s what my brain conjured.
Someone was telling me that due to space being so cold and a vacuum, one could “stand right next to” the sun and not burn up so long as the light was blocked. I believe you’d still be incinerated but obviously, I’m no expert. My head figured a brolly as protection best illustrated his point.
From a joke somebody told me—one of those Trick-or-Treat kid jokes. The punch-line was “udder failure” about a cow who couldn’t produce enough milk. “Drip.”
Somebody asked me to draw a self-portrait and I was tired that day.
Someone said they went to the zoo and the polar bears were playing volleyball—they probably meant the bears were batting around volleyballs but I envisioned a polar bear depicted as here.
The Science of Lying is closely studied by law enforcement officials (and corporate execs!). This the an illustration to help remember “when he’s looking that way, it’s for real” or “that lying bastard!”
Close to Christmas time, a coworker requested that I draw something “cute” after I drew something naughty. Who could say no to baby penguins?
My nieces were on the farm where I live and had just come in from playing with the chickens. A asked for me to draw the rooster, Cecil. Since it was Xmas Eve…it seemed natural to dress him accordingly.
Yet another science-news-related drawring: a shrew had been discovered with a long, elephant-like snout and is many times larger than a common shrew. So, I pictured a common shrew meeting its bigger cousin. Hence, the Latin-name for the new species and a silly “scared shrew” fake Latin-name for our common fellow.
