  • Don't Look Down!
    by JenniferB

How high is high enough / and how far is far enough…

The only limitations we set, are the lowest expectations that we place on ourselves… Notice I didn’t look down or mention floors? ;-) Don’t look down… Strangely enough, this soft, thought on awakening this morning, was inspired by the following, wonderfully written words: Facing the wall, I tap away at the keys; feeding the illusion created by the machines. With another turn of phrase, I swirl the confusion. Spinning the vortex ever faster, wondering if a slave eventually rises to be a master… he has an incredible way of making the mundane sound mindlessly mysterious… :-)

  • It Goes Down Like Red Velvet on Candle Street
    by mstrace

She moved as if in the midst of a love affair with deliberate.

I woke up this morning after a long night of sweat-induced dreaming. It was cold last night. Frost had developed on the grass outside my house. Winter is here and I’m feeling…frisky. The dreams gave me an idea for a story. So I’m going to start it here. PART II here

    by mstrace

I shoved a finger into the middle of my drink, hoping the cold ice would shutter the warm blood pumping through my veins.

  • ... and the rains came down
    by Anne van Alkemade

Applause ear-splitting / Gaia takes her bows / with her tears / the earth she endows.

A storm came today with desperately needed rain, but also with awe inspiring thunder and terrifying forks of lightning so close I thought the clothes on my line would be turned to cinders. One day ONE DAY I will click when those forks hit! Until then, enjoy images of black sky and driving rain and hail.

  • And the world fell down
    by Fiona Christensen

So now when you ask me how i am / with that mocking concern in your eyes / I paste on a smile / And tell you i’m fine

Today was bad day i guess… i was angry, and i am certainly not an angry person, i mean, i was even nominated as mIss sunshine becuase im always smiling but today, it just boiled over… People, people, people.... they can be so temperamental, zealous, competitive, hurtful, callous, fake and untrustworthy people and they all lay on the problems with me and sometimes, i just want to explode. They expect so much, isn’t what i give enough, what more can i give you when I’m already giving you my heart and soul?
