I just had a call from Nic Hohn, artist and friend to inform me that Beach Bums had just sold at the Annual Downlands Art Exhibition. I am doing the happy dance. Which is great for when I went yesterday to view the exhibition I was very disappointed to see “Crowess” was not on display, when I approached the curator to ask why, he said he felt it wasn’t strong enough, I was upset at that for I felt it was a good painting and being my latest work felt it showed a progression and development of a personal style. I am still disappointed she is not on show, yet I am very pleased to have sold a piece of my art, / Beach Bums was a fun piece to do, combining a few different techniques and well now it is on it’s way to a new home.

Very pleased to say that All a Flutter sold yesterday at the Downlands Art Exhibition. This is one of two premier annual Exhibitions held in Toowoomba and this year the set up was amazing and there were record sales. So whilst the start of the year has been a bit slow it seems people are now starting to have more faith in the economy and spend/invest in good quality art work. Enjoying a day off from work, and going happily into my painting room to create….cheers all Kym x P.S Artist Palette issue 77 on sale 28th Of August, my small feature is to be in this issue, the larger feature mid next year….can’t wait to see it….cheers
