Patiently waiting on a letter from you …. One of those, “Oh, I’m gonna have to stop the car and take this shot” kind of moments. I love how the two left-most trees almost form an arch. Incidently this road is called Covered Bridge Road and leads to Pennsylvania’s Oldest Covered Bridge built in 1830 RIP John. My art with 1000+ views

Beautiful Double Island Point Lighthouse, built in 1884, and operational since. It’s a metal clad, over timber frame lighthouse, and the light today after many upgrades over the years, has 750,000 candle power! In 1992, the lighthouse had solar panels installed, and was no longer manned. Canon 50D, 18mm. Double Island Point, Rainbow Beach, QLD. Available Large.

Experimenting with the flashlight (torch?) again, this time with a mirror, too. A daffodil from my spring ‘09 garden … our daffies are approximately 4 inches in diameter, petal tip to petal tip. Image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 60mm Nikon Micro/Macro lens, with tripod. Shutter speed 1/320, aperture f/11.0, exp -.33, iso 200. No flash.
Taken during the same storm chase as Umina Beach Storm. I had only JUST recieved my New Nikon D300 and I had the chance to give it a good run. This shot was taken with the 70-200 VR lens set at 70mm. The storm was a good 10km away and it was moving slowly across Pittwater and was an easy target from Umina beach. After using the LiveView to focus I trained the camera where most of the Lightning was going off. The camera was set to f7.1 and 25 second exposure. I was so happy when the first strike went off just after I had opend the shutter, then to have a second flash a few seconds before it closed was the icing on the cake. The cloud detail is also astounding. BEST VIEWED LARGER Yes Sydney Harbour again , but with a view like that do you blame me? I say this is one of the best vantage points for views of Sydney Harbour and the bridge, and not often is the harbour surface so still that it reflects the span of the bridge and lights so well ! If you look close at the bridge you can see the framework mounted on the bridge as they start rigging her for the biggest and best New Years Eve fireworks display. The Sydney New Year’s Eve Midnight Fireworks is one of the most spectacular shows that takes place in the world’s best open theatre – fireworks firing from barges, skyscraper rooftops and across the iconic arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. So want something to do on New Years Eve, book a flight its not that far away / Equipment:Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens,Manfrotto Tripod / Technique:HDR 5 Braketted Exposures, Photomatix 3.2 64 Bit Capture NX
