  • This is Dottie. We rescued her from a Monsterous box at Walmart. She was the last pup and it seemed no one wanted this FREE Blue Tick Coon Hound Mix…but we did and we love her so much! All images© Copyright by Carolyn Sue Farmer / They may not be used in any way without written consent

  • Spotty pattern in a soft, contemporary colour combination with textured and layered effects.

  • This image won the Your Pets challenge on July 23, 2009. These little brothers are Blue Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs) and celebrated their 3-week birthday on October 11th. Their father is a Blue Heeler that belongs to a friend of ours. Their mother is our beloved pet, Dottie, an abandoned and abused Blue Heeler who wandered onto our property one day about 5 years ago. It was divine intervention! Dottie was starving, ribs showing through her thin coat, and the only food I had was some cat food. I fed her, she fell in love with me, and me with her. Dottie is a very smart dog with a large repertoire of tricks that always impress folks who meet her for the first time. This is Dottie’s first off-spring and we were so excited to get some of her pups. We expect them to be just as smart as their mother! Thank you for stopping by to comment on this image. I don’t normally respond with individual thank-you comments due to time constraints (slow dial-up speed). I prefer to spend my limited time on RB by commenting on your work instead. However, I want you to know how much it means to me that you took the time to view and comment on my work! Patricia Please don’t copy or download this image. • FEATURED IN THE RESCUED PETS GROUP ON MARCH 21, 2009!! My husband, Homer Steedly, took this great shot of our very noble dog, Dottie as she posed for him in front of Sun Wall rock face, a section of Looking Glass Rock in Pisgah National Forest. Dottie and Homer hope to start hiking again this Spring. Dottie was rescued when we found her starving by a river in December 2004. She was only 6 weeks old, terrified and lonely. As you can see from the photo, she’s come a long way. Of course we ADORE her which does make for a noble look!!

You may not know this about me, but I’m an insane Tim Walker fan. If you don’t know who Tim Walker is, I’m afraid we can’t be friends anymore. It is imperative that you seek out his work and drool while uttering three syllable adjectives to describe how wonderful it is. Now that we’re better acquainted, I’d like to draw your eyes to exhibit A: / Tim Walker’s ‘Lisa Cant with 80 White Rabbits’ originally commissioned by Vogue, and published in his book from last year entitled Pictures. And now I’d like to present for you, exhibit B: / The Dotti commercial from this month’s Cosmopolitan Now, I know what you’re thinking – they are nothing alike. Look, in the second one the girl is wearing a hat. Totally different. However, I do not agree with you. In fact, I’d go so far as to say this is a direct copy off of an awesome idea. And unless they have hired Tim Walker to shoot the Dotti commercial and he decided to rehash his own idea (Sorry Tim, but I wouldn’t love you as much anymore), then someone else has forgotten their imagination at the door. I can appreciate a homage to a great talent, I can appreciate that inspiration comes from all around, and I believe that no idea is truly original (that we merely rehash a concoction of our lives experiences). But where is the line? Where do we stop saying “this was inspired by” and start saying “this is a copy of”?

  • Here is Dottie. She is totally recovered from the many stitches she needed. From the injury she got last time she went with us into the bush. This was her first big day out again. Here she was begging for a piece of manderin. She loves her food. She even eats raw carrots. One healthy dog, she is.

  • I’ve wanted to use the colorblind test as a vehicle for ages, but I couldn’t think of an idea worthy of it. Then this came like a bolt from the blue. Love is blind.

  • an older design revamped slightly to put on darker tee. I added a new adjustment layer to give more depth to the colours and made smaller to look better on ladies tees. Although you can’t see it from here.. there are gaps between each sphere/bubble/pebble… so the colour of the t-shirt shows between each of them.

  • Our border collie mix dog, Dottie, loves the snow. I snapped this picture of her looking out at the snow, hoping that we would let her out to play (we did). We’ve gotten 8 inches of snow today here in Brevard, North Carolina! We rescued Dottie nine years ago when we found her abandoned and starving by a river down in South Carolina. What a gift she is to us! Featured in Live, Love and Dream – December 18, 2009! Featured in Paws ‘N Claws – December 20, 2009!
