  Taken in February 2008 at the Musée d’Orsay, Paris. The museum is on the left bank of the Seine and is housed in the former railway station, the Gare d’Orsay.

  This is a composite image. The Canyon is from the Na Pali Coast on Kauai taken from a helicopter and the floor is of the musee d’Orsay in Paris. I made the floor “glass” so you can see the rest of the canyon below. At the top of the canyon are clouds which normally cover this area of the island. I was looking for something “fun” to do one night while playing on the computer and about two days later this image was finished. I was hoping to create a magical place …on paper at least. I love in the Studio, when people look at this image, get that look on their face, and ask me me, “Where is that?” “In my head”, I answer. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to visit a real place like this?

  This shot was taken inside the main hall inside the Musee D’orsay in Paris. As excellent as the artworks are the building itself is a showpiece of magnificent architecture. I was in Paris for Christmas and this was one of the visits. The buiding was originally a train station and I couldn’t help but wonder as I walked around the building what that must have been like.
