  I’ve always found when I’ve loved someone’s RB space, I’ve gone for a look for more information in a journal, which then gives a chance to say hi or comment on their cool profile. I hadn’t worried about one for me though, but, here it is, bright and shiny! So more about me. I like being a pisces, and like seeing what other pisces get up to, and whether they’re happy. I think I’m good at the science job I do now. My personality is different to norm for that work, so I have the opportunity to see the holes left by them (also makes for confusion!). Does anyone here use personality type at all? I’ve often wondered about posting the question to the forums because I think it’s facinating. [Myers-Briggs anyone?] Me, I’m ‘INFP’, 1% of the population. God knows how I finished a PhD! I wasn’t kidding in my profile when I said it was an ordeal. It was tough to finish, but I’m glad I persevered. I kept a diary of what I was thinking/feeling during the last year of it, and it doesn’t paint a good picture, looking back over it. Science research is interesting, at a conceptual level. It can deteriate into tedium in the detail though. Still, I know I’ve got access to knowledge that is gold for science fiction writing! I haven’t posted any here yet, as they were some of the first creative things I wrote a couple of years ago, so are basically interesting ideas buried in some bad writing. Its on my list of things to do, metaphorically. Anyway… if you’ve made it to the end, you should go read my stories!!! Joking. But, I’d love to know what you think. RB is so visual. I spend more time here with images too.

  I’ve noticed that my Austin A40 Series is very popular! So to make sure you are all aware, here are is the old truck shot at from every angle (with a camera!): / This old Austin A40 is a permanent feature amongst the gum-trees on the father-in-law’s top paddock. You can tell how long it’s been sitting there by the branches growing in, around and over its shell! 1. Austin, Portrait / The portrait seems to be the most popular of these photographs. / 2. Austin, Left Door / 3a. Austin, Tray / 3b. Austin, Tray II / This image was added after finding I’d taken multiple shots and didn’t know which was better.   It’s my granddaughters birthday today and it doesn’t seem that long ago when I was racing through the hospital looking for that very ward. It was 4am and my daughter was about to give birth. Lucky for me I got there in time and what a privilege it was. It’s quite natural for the husband to be there I know that, but the father of the mother to be ? I was a little uncertain at first and then got it in the neck from one of my female friends “ Look here if your daughter has asked you to be there…………… you had better show up!!! / It was magic…. The place was full in the end. By that I mean close family members, I wasn’t selling tickets! : father, mother, mother of the husband, sister in law, husband and midwife. The midwife said it was four years since she had cried at a birth and was it any wonder. I thought that witnessing my daughter being born was a miracle but being there when she gave birth left me an emotional wreck. / I took the my little grand-daughter in my arms and she was just like a slippery little seal pup. I thought she might go whizzing down the corridor. New born babies are like something out of a nature doco so I wouldn’t have been at all surprised to see Richard Attenborough come through the door. After the birth I left them to it, unless you speak the poos and wees lingo you’re out of the inner circle, they’re like Freemasons. / It’s no secret to me any longer so I was happy to leave. I know what babies are like. They wake up, they cry, you feed them, they crap, you change them and they go back to bed again. They don’t do anything else…… nothing. Shame you can’t fast forward them a couple of years!! Now…. three years have flown by and is she a live wire. I took her out to the zoo and then for a walk around the local lakeside where I’m inclined to meet other new grandparents eager to show off their gifted grandchildren. I sat alongside one couple who were feeding ducks. My little ‘darling’ couldn’t get the hang of breaking the bread into small chunks, happy enough to throw it in a slice at a time causing a right commotion in the duck world and annoying the hell out of the couple next to me. / “ How old in she ?” they ask / “ She’s three’ / “ Oh really! Our three year old is reading Harry Potter” / “ That’s amazing” says I “ Cos she’s still rubbing shit on the front of the fridge door”

  This is a fairly short series of doorways i took on the 7th of July from around the Melbourne CBD, the one’s displayed are my favourites, i might post some more though! Have a quick look-see at these links to the four doors / Door One / Door Two / Door Three / Door Four / Door Five / Door Six / The inspiration for this series is mostly the French Artist Alanandis, who decided, in light of the fact that areas of old Paris were being demolished and redeveloped, began photographing all these beautiful doorways that would soon be lost, the series he made was called Portes en Provence. Thankfully areas of Melbourne arn’t being knocked down! /

  today is a day off and i’m home alone. / it’s this time by myself that the world changes from something real to something else. / the creative process takes over and i sketch erratic pictures and write erratic paragraphs. / although i have no basis for comparison, i feel it’s like conception, birth and life. / i hear a voice or see a flash of colours and shapes and begin writing or drawing them (conception). / eventually these pictures and paragraphs develop substance and show me plans and a while after they become complete (birth). / then they are filed away to be kept private or introduced to my friends and family where they are judged forever (life).

  The Order of Melbourne, Sunday 8th June 2008 / Featuring Anna Rocket, Ms Remi, Dee Dee Martini, Lil Thelma Thunderbird, Sarah Lea Cheesecake I had missed Sarah’s last appearance at Red Door Burlesque due to other things, so I made sure to put the Queen’s Birthday show in my diary ahead of time. Even when I was asked to come to an instore earlier in the day, I was determined to come and left home already dressed up for the night. Anna Rocket was up first with her hula hoop routine and I later found out it was her at the St Kilda Town Hall opening so I will have to show her those photos later. Lil’ Thelma Thunderbird introduced the acts and was the “Peep girl” for the night where she sat on top of the cigarette machine and handed out biscuits and sweeties in the intermission. Miss Remi’s act with the candles was great and I would like to see more of her in the future. Dee Dee Martini did a couple of acts as a maid and a staid woman who becomes wild after having champagne and beer. I hadn’t seen any of Hi Ball Burlesque for ages so it was good to see her on the night. It is always great to see Sarah Lea Cheesecake and the performance at Red Door Burlesque was great as it was a lot closer to the audience and you could see Sarah enter and exit the stage from past the toilet doors (it was a fair way.) Anna Rocket’s duo was great and I took heaps of photos during it. After Dee Dee Martini’s second act, the final two acts were Anna Rocket on the trapeze. She did a comedy-style routine and had a lot of near falls and fooling around. Ms Remi did an act on the ring, but my camera ran out of memory at the start of it and I didn’t get as many photos as I would like. It was very graceful though. While it was a good show, next time I will go with some friends so I can get a table. I will also get a taxi home so crazy people don’t try to chase me down Swanston St. I also know the way up to beer garden at the Order of Melbourne and won’t go into the dressing room next time by accident. Larry Smith sat on the edge of his bed with his 2 best friends sitting on the floor.”Man,Larry i can`t wait for christmas.I think my mom and dad is getting me that XBOX 360 i`ve been bragging about all week.” One of the boys said to Larry. “Yeah, i think my moms gonna get me that Dirt Bike and Four Wheller i`ve been asking for.” Another boy said. ” What happened to you guys holiday spirit.Christmas is suppose to be about Santa Clause and the egg nog that you drink at parties.” Larry told them.”Come on Larry you know we stopped believing in santa clause a long time ago.” Travis said. “Yeah Larry you need to listen to Travis. He may not always be right but i agree with him on this one. All i look forward to on Christmas is the presents and spending time with my mom.It`s the only time of the year she can spends all day with me instead of just 10 lowsy minutes” Andy said.” You guys are probably right. But is that all you really look forward to on Christmas?” Larry asked”No.Not really i also like the parties i go to and seeing people i never met before.”Travis answered.Bright and early the next morning Larry got up made him some breakfast set at the family table and thought about what his friends said.Then a knock came on the door.Larrys big sister Jena rushed downstairs and pushed larry so she could get to the door first.”Who is it!!!!” Hollard Jena.”Travis and Andy can Larry come out?”They asked.Jena unlocked the door and said….... “It`s your dorkish friends”. As they walked in they looked at Larry in a unfamilair way.”What”. Larry said spitting his ceral everywhere.”Come on dude don`t tell me you forgot. It`s saturday morning for petes sake why are you still in your PJ`s we are suppose to be out shopping for gifts for our moms and dads. But in Andys case mom.”Said Travis.”Oh. Yeah right the shopping.Sorry you guys i can`t make it.”Larry said.”Why not you`ve been saying you would be free on today.You even made a promise that you would`nt bail out at the last minute.” Andy said.”Yeah i know but.Ummmmmmmmmmm.I…I.I have to help Jena get ready for her prom tonight.” Larry said taking a big spoonful of ceral in his mouth.”What. My prom is`nt until a month from now.Look you guys Larrys lying he does`nt have anything to do but sleep.He was up all night doing some homework.” Jena said.”But we didn`t have any homework!”Travis yelled.Jena ran upstairs as fast as she could.”Look Larry you are my best friend but if you keep continuing to lie like this.We won`t have a friendship!Now are you going or not?”Travis asked angerly.”Alright im going.Give me 5 minutes to change.”Said Larry.”Alright 5 minutes or else.”Andy said.”Don`t push it And”.Said Larry.As Larry ran upstairs Jena looked at him and started laughing.Larry wondered why she was laughing but he didn`t ask he just looked at her and ran in his room.After larry put on his stuff he ran outside to Andy and Travis.”Right on time too.”Travis said. As they left off the porch they ran into 2 old enemies.Alex Matason and Bug Brain.”Well,well,well.Look what the cat spit out.Alex Matason and Bug Brain.” Said Travis.”Aw Travis i think you better leave them alone they got a dog.”Said Larry.”Stop being such a wimp Lar they are not gonna do anything with those dogs.”Said Andy.”I think you need to listen to your boy for you get wiped on my by me and my homeboy.Oh and lil Sparky here to.” Said Bug Brain.”Like i said before you ain`t do nothing with that mutt or your homeboy.”Travis said to Bug Brain. “Didn`t we teach you last that you should mind who you talk to.”Said Andy. “What punk i`ll whip your tail.”Said Bug Brain.”Sick`em boy”.Then the boys started to run with the dog on there tail and the other 2 boys behind them.They hit the corner and lost Bug Brain,Alex,and the dog.”Man that was a close one when are you two gonna learn how to keep your big mouths shut you almost got us killed today. Didn`t you see how big that dog was.He could have eaten us alive.” Said Larry.”Stop your worries he was just trying to scare us.” Said Travis.”Well it worked thanks to you and Andy.By the way where is Andy.”Asked Larry. Then they heard a scream. It was Andy they had caught him and the dog was eating him up.”Help, help.Help me Travis,Larry help!”yelled Andy.”Leave him alone he didn`t do anything to you or that mingy mutt.”Said Travis.”You know you got alot of nerve talking to me and my boy like that.” Said Alex.”You aint gonna do nuttin punk about it”said Travis.”Yeah aight.Try me.”Said Alex.Alex threw the first punch and bam. Travis was out like a light.When he woke up he was in a wheelchair in the middle of a hospital.”Wha…what happened?”asked Travis.”Alex threw the first punch and you went down like that.”Larry said snapping his fingers.That can`t be possible he was just right here.”Said Travis.”Yeah hours ago.”Said Andy.”Andy buddy are you alright all i remember was that Alex and Bug Brain`s dog was eating you up and bitting you with his visus teeth.”Said Travis sadly.”Yeah im okay thanks to you and Larry.Larry was amazing after you and Bug Brain got into it and he knoced you out.Larry jumped in it and took on both of them.But he got knocked down.And had a slittyly sprained arm.But thats okay he just has to rest for the next 2 weeks or so.”Andy said.”Man what are we gonna tell our parents?”Asked Travis scared.”I don`t know about you but me and Andy already called our moms and dads explaining what had happened.”Said Larry.”What.Ya`ll just going to let me hang like that.Ya`ll suppose to be my boys we look after each other.”Travis told them.”I know,i know,i know.But this time we couldn`t bail you out you made your own desicion nobody asked you to help me.”Said Andy.”Hold up, hold up,hold up.
