I made this with a fineliner and a piece of paper. It’s possible it’s a breach of copyright even though I always write in shapes. If I disappear it’s because a shoe corporation has eaten me for breakfast. Here’s a detail, and below I’ve written out the text because I’m in a good mood. What happened to the days when we only replaced things that were broken, beyond repair? Where does our desire to replace new with newer stem from? How are we so easily convinced that our lives are barely worth living with those extra inches of plasma, that additional megapixel, or another twenty gigabytes of space in which to store the remnants of our increasingly digital lives? To bastardise Victor Papanek, what is this vicious, unhealthy desire to consistently spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need in order to impress others that don’t care? How can we let multi million dollar corporations sell our individuality back to us through a mass produced, sweat shop constructed pieces of apparel? Have we found total freedom or absolute disconnect? / Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

Another photo manipulation, this one was inspired by a situation my friend was in, I decided to cheer him up with a digital present. It’s about not giving up of search for truelove/happiness. The face might be rusting away but it’s still looking, still hoping. / Currently working on an oil painting of this with brown eye colouring rather than blue for a monochromatic look. See this in Oils! This Piece has been nominated to be showcased in Pay It Forward / by Celia Coulter and this is what they had to say about your image: ‘Why do I love it, I guess the textures, the colours and for whatever undefinable reason that the artwork inspires a sense of wonder in me.’

My Love for HDR has gone even deeper than any style of shooting I have ever done. But I was recently informed by a good friend that someone has literally renamed the art of HDR (NAME + Dynamic Range) simply because he added a few steps and totally disregarded the true pioneers of HDR. I believe we should respect the artists of the past as they are the reason we are in love with Photography today. Please do not take offense to this “Special Note” as I am merely stating my opinion in this matter. I’am neither a troublemaker nor an instigator, I just get “Urked” by People that dont have the common decency to respect our fore fathers in the art and think its okay to rename a technique. For the record this person does some awesome HDR work and has not done me wrong in any way. I’am simply bothered by people that know how good they are but dont give credit to the true legends of our art.
