Not to be outdone by some of the beautiful animals who have had their photos posted here on RB by their pets (yes you did read that correctly), allow me to introduce the funniest bunny on the planet – Taz. Taz is my five year old, supposed-to-be-a-Lionhead, but he didn’t quite work out properly. People often ask what the heck he is, and who can blame them, but he is the smartest and most loving housebunny anyone could wish for. His fur grows rapidly and continuously so I have to give him a “hare-cut” every few weeks so he can actually see his beautiful girlfriend bunny, Savanna. Taz’s hobbies are imitating a Tribble, mugging me for all the treats he can get and caravanning. Yes indeed, when we go away with the caravan for weekends in Merrie Olde England, the bunnies come too – they have their own bun-run which we place on the grass so they can get a taste of the local bunny fare! N.B. The wild bunnies, which are commonly found on such campsites, tend to treat them with disdain! I can’t imagine why! ;o) Savanna, the girlfriend. /

Bird out of cage. Photo based illustration with textures and patterns.
Frankie, a Ragdoll, has made himself at home as you can see. This shot was taken just before he took a nap on Tuesday afternoon January 6th 2009. In two weeks he has grown quite a bit and is a handful. Leaping, jumping, chasing anything, when he is not sleeping, eating or pooping. He is cuddled up on my husband’s T-shirt, draped over my husband’s office chair in the home office, while I am sitting at my computer. All the light on his head and fur is from the window just behind him. Frankie was rescued from the streets on Tuesday December 23/08 by my son Kevin. Lost & Found Couldn’t help but think of Elton John’s Blue Eyes Top Ten placement in the Paws n Claws, Cat Breeds challenge, July 2009 / Featured in Domestic and Pedigree Cats April 2009 / Featured in the Rescued Pets group January 2009 / Featured in the Bits and Pieces group January 2009
White cat in night
Size: 8×10 inches / Medium: Acrylic / Support: Ampersand Gessobord This is Hana (means “flowers” in Japanese). She passed on in January 2009. About 8 years ago, she started to show up in our backyard and spent all day sleeping in one of my flower pots. Every time we brought food to her, she hissed and tried to bite. One day, we brought her indoor and she immediately turned into a very friendly cat. She had never hissed at us after that. We concluded that what Hana really wanted was a home. Although she never liked other cats much, she loved human contact. We don’t know her age. Her vet thinks she was an old cat when she passed.
ACEO / miniature art of a beautiful Tabby called Neska, with amber eyes, done with coloured pencils and ink on drafting film. Neska’s eyes are actually green in colour but I wanted to add to my series of artwork featuring cat’s eyes ( Emerald Eyes, Sapphire Eyes and Turquoise Eyes). There is such diversity in the colours that cat’s eyes come in and I never tire of admiring the beauty of their eyes. Reference photo for this artwork was taken by Ainhoa Pcb http://www.flickr.com/photos/ainhoap/455734885/ and was used with her kind permission.
