This photo has won a number of awards both locally and nationally in New Zealand. Featured: “Canon DSLR Group” Canon 20D Views: 2074 / Favs: 81

  • This song is sung alot in our house..But of late it has become alot more meaningful..Jessi has decided she is no longer a baby, she is a big girl and as such, no longer wishes to be called my baby girl, bubba or anything else that conjurs up images of the baby she no longer is..A sad time for me as she is, and will always be my baby girl….Goodbye Ruby Tuesday.. • Brit is another addition to the mikoto dog family. it was requested by Big Fat Robot and is a tribute to my friend matthew’s old bulldog Rumpole. They are not the most energetic dogs as you can tell by Brit’s interest in the tennis ball. This is the drawing it is based on. I’m always surprised by how much i like my tiny tiny drawings! / Scotty (。◕‿‿◕。)

  • Shot with a Nikon D40 / 18-200mm Nikkor Lens /

  • Hecate is the Greek goddess of witchcraft, childbirth and the crossroads. She has power over skies, earth and sea, which I wanted to show through each one of the three figures. The central one carries several symbols attributed to the goddess: the pomegranates in her hair remind us of the legend of Persephone, in which she plays an important role; while she hides her right eye behind her hand, the eye still shows through the fingers, meaning that she’s got the “vision”, or the capacity of seeing the past, present and future. The moon under her right breast denotes that Hecate is a moon goddess, and that she protects the women in labor and their offspring – the moon is associated to the motherhood. The black dog is one of her companions. watercolor and pencil on illustration board / 20×15

  • I’m pretty sure this is what Fletcher is saying at the moment I took the photo. The object in question being a scrunch ball hidden under his jaw.

  • Another wintry experiment with one of Sienna’s pictures (original photo shown below). She was standing in the snow along Clarks Creek, but I converted the picture to black and white, added falling snowflakes and a red holiday bow to make her look a bit more festive! / Original taken February 2008. It was fairly easy to make the snow. I just searched on the internet for a Photoshop tutorial to make snow and found it instantly. Here’s Sienna’s original picture: /
