2nd in series of beach shots with my Niece and puppy
This was taken at the coast at the end of our summer, heading into fall. A very lazy and quiet day, with nothing but the sounds of the ocean and seagulls.
Here’s one I took today of Maggie at the beach. She’s our 6 month old Labradoodle who’s eyes are so much wiser than than her 6 months!
Black lab sitting in water with smoke in the air waiting for someone, anyone to throw him a stick. Click once on image to enlarge. / / / /
We met a couple with this gorgeous Bernais ?? Mountain Dog, he was terrified of the beach and the sea so he was being carried most of the way along, it was his first time, I just couldn’t resist taking some photos of him and loved this one with the sand on his nose! This award winning photo was my own personal choice for the place of honor in our home: above the hearth. The photo was taken on a still, misty morning near Port Orford, Oregon, of a man walking his dog on the boulder strewn beach, with the hazy coastal mountains rising up in the background. It’s hard to imagine that it could get any more peaceful and inspiring than this, isn’t it? (Nikon D200, Nikkor DX 18-70 mm 3.5-4.5 ED Lens, Settings f/13.0, 1/640th, ISO 320, 70 mm)

I just happened to take my camera with me when I took my dog Jess, to the local beach. Jess decided it was much nicer lying on the beach than walking on it so I just lay opposite her and fired off a few shots. She’s very used to me taking shots so she just waited patiently for me to finish. Nikon D3 / 17-35mm lens / f/2.8
The incredibly delicate sand tufa on the shores of Mono Lake. These structures can crumple as easily as a sand castle. It is a wonder that they are still standing. All images are © Nolan Nitschke. You may not use this image in any way without written consent from artist. All Rights Reserved.

Man and his dog, this was just before the small storm hit, and you could hear a few distant rumbles, but couldn’t see anything due to the rock headland. We quickly packed up, and made a dash to the car. Double Island Point headland, Northern Sunshine Coast, QLD. Canon 50D, 10mm. Available Large!
