Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! This was a nightmare….. and a play ! My four bordercollie pups discovered a leak in the garden hose without me knowing it. I heard the noise and ran outside….., turned back grabbed my camera and this was what I found ! Four pups sopping wet, covered in mud and a gardenhose with a then “huge” leak !
Can you see the ghost sailor playing chess with his dog on his left shoulder? / Actual shot. No Photoshop. This was captured while composing a shot in dry ice smoke.
Lucky, our female labrador/german shepherd mix, seems to be pleading with me to go and play with her in the snow. She was moving a lot and I haven’t been able to get a clear sharp shot with her completely in the frame. I kept this shot anyway just because I love the look in her eyes. Lucky has been rescued from the shelter in Montreal a year ago by my sister. She was sick with kennel cough and needed a temporary foster family to bring her back to health. One month later, she came to live with us permanently because my sister could not bring herself to send her back to the shelter. We are all very fond of her. Two of my 9 week old American Pit Bull Terrier puppies that I have right now. This is one of their favorite toys. When you press on different spots, it makes noises or plays little songs. Little Girl on the right adores it and lays on it all the time. Charlotte is just listening. :)) / FEATURED IN THE APBT LOVERS GROUP / 3RD PLACE IN THE FAVORITE TOY CHALLENGE – PAWS N CLAWS GROUP / /

Photograph taken with Sony Cybershot early this morning – 20 May 2009. Other than cropping for redbubble the picture is as ‘real’ as it gets, ‘untouched’ and ‘as is’. The metal man had arrived and was reinforcing Alkatraz aka ‘The Den’ as my pooches have become little Houdini’s amongst other things. The sound of the drill scared them and they came to me for protection – being the evil mother that I am I left them sitting and tried to catch the moment. To get all six in one place and not chewing, fighting, digging or eating was simply beautiful. The title is inspired by a Nusrery Rhyme that my Nannan used to ‘play’ with me ….it fits perfectly … There were six in a bed / And the little one said / “Roll over, roll over” / So they all rolled over / And one fell out There were five in a bed…. / Lyrics courtesy The Teachers Guide ACRYLIC ART CALENDARS CARDS POETRY PHOTOGRAPHY – ANIMALS PHOTOGRAPHY -CANDID SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY – CATS AND DOGS / CATS / DOGS PHOTOGRAPHY – CONTEMPORARY WORK PHOTOGRAPHY – FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY – INSECTS PHOTOGRAPHY – TRADITIONALLY TURKISH PHOTOGRAPHY – TREE AND TREE PARTS T-SHİRTS —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / CATS ARE US / CHLOE / DIBLEY / KAR / MINTY / LINFORD / “LISA“ / “OLLIE“ / “OTHERS“ DOGS ARE US / BELA / CLYDE -ROTTWEILER PUP / LUCKY / MOLLIE -ROTTWEILER PUP / ROTTWEILER PUPS – THE FIRST FOUR WEEKS / ROTTWEILER PUPS – FOUR WEEKS AND ON / ROTTWEILER PUPS – EIGHT WEEKS AND COUNTING / TROY / “OTHERS“ ROTTWEILER PUPS A litter of 9 rottweiler puppies pups was born 24th March 2009. / Their mother is Bela and he father is Troy. / Taken with Sony Cybershot 14 May 2009. The smallest of the three boys – short haired with very big feet! The Rottweiler, or Rottweil Metzgerhund (“Butchers Dog”), is a “medium to large size, stalwart dog” breed originating in Germany as a herding dog. It is a hardy and very intelligent breed. Rottweilers also worked as draught dogs, pulling carts to carry meat and other products to market. “Rottweiler breeders aim at a dog of abundant strength, black coated with clearly defined rich tan markings, whose powerful appearance does not lack nobility and which is exceptionally well suited to being a companion, service and working dog.” The Rottweiler was kept busy in these traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railroads replaced droving for getting livestock to market. Although there are still Rottweilers working stock all over the world, many other roles have been found for this versatile breed. During the first and second World Wars, Rottweilers were put into service in various roles including as messenger, draught and guard dogs. Currently they are often used as search and rescue, assistance, guide dogs for the blind, guard and police dogs in addition to their traditional roles. Although an extremely versatile breed used in recent times for many other purposes, the Rottweiler is first and foremost one of the oldest, if not the oldest, of herding breeds. A multi-faceted herding and stock protection dog of exceptional ability, it is capable of working all kinds of livestock under a wide variety of conditions. The breed is an ancient one, whose history stretches back to the Roman Empire. In those times, the legions traveled with their meat on the hoof and required the assistance of working dogs to herd the cattle. One route the army traveled was through Württemberg and on to the small market town of Rottweil. The principal ancestors of the first Rottweilers during this time was supposed to be the Roman droving dog, local dogs the army met on its travels, and dogs with molosser appearance coming from England and The Netherlands. This region eventually became an important cattle area, and the descendants of the Roman cattle dogs proved their worth in both driving and protecting the cattle from robbers and wild animals. However, by the end of the 19th century as railroads became the main method for moving stock to market, the breed had declined so much that in 1900 there was only one female to be found in the town of Rottweil. This painting is acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. It is 11” w x 14” h. Kokopelli was one of the earliest spirit figures represented in the petroglyphs and cave art of the very early Native Americans—the very first Americans. He was believed to bring success with crops and also to bring good luck with the ladies. He was usually depicted playing a flute and was considered to be the patron of music. He is usually depicted with a hump on his back.
