Man and poodle pass through the lights reflected off the water.
wanted this image to look like a landscape, / was a cool log : )
Oil on paper. My dog is Pekinese and her hair ranges from blond to black. As I was looking at the photograph the image started vibrating and all these colours jumped out. It was pure inspiration! This painting was a milestone for me in colour theory and not being afraid to use many colours in a painting as long as they are balancing out.
Hippie Pekingese dog with colorful hat and bouquet of flowers isolated on white

/ Our dogs found this guy was wandering through our yard. After we took the dogs in, he (she?) finally “came out of it’s shell…”
Acrylic on canvas 30cm x 40cm.
This photo is interesting, i took this accidently while inspecting my cameras lens. I realised i took a photo and liked it so i cropped it. I then worked on this all day trying different effects until i finally got something i really liked. This is the final image!
My younger sister named this piece. She stated the middle of the image looks like the robot doggies in the toy stores.

This is Daisy, my 10 year old English cocker spaniel and the happiest dog ive ever met! I’ve recently developed a new style with some of my animal photos. The rule with animals is to shoot at their level, with the eyes sharp. Lately ive started taking shots of them from above. For some reason Im a bit stuck on this style, i think because it is different from the usual eye-level shots we see, and it is also how animals appear to us in real life – smaller than us, and looking up. For my RSPCA WA calendar this added a vulnerability to the dogs and kittens i took photos of. Taken with Canon 5D and 24-105mm L series lens @ f5.6, ISO 600, 1/320th sec, handheld.
