My beautiful baby, Missy. She’s Chocolate Lab and German Shephard even though she only looks lab. She was abused when we got her and it took a while to get her to realize there really is love in this cruel world…..anyway this is her gorgeous eye. hehe

Riccoboni RD Riccoboni ™ is an innovative American-born painter (California, 1960), influenced by his early years living in the suburbs of New York City. A self-taught artist, he credits encouragement by family and teachers for his drive and inspiration. Riccoboni’s paintings on canvas and paper depict his travels and local interest. Subjects include California landscape, cityscape, portraiture, street-scenes, public events, and everyday happenings and friends. His palette is derived from the bold colors of the original rainbow flag. Colors that represent, sexuality, healing, sunshine, nature, art, harmony, and spirit. RD Riccoboni ™ is internationally recognized work represents community, a sense of place in a positive and life affirming manner. DIGITAL PORTRAIT PAINTING – PHOTO PAINTING SERVICES Featured in Animal Portraits, Cats & Dogs, – March 11, 2009, in Paws n Claws June 2009 & in PhoDOGraphy July 27, 2009. I took the original photo of my friend’s dog last summer with my Canon DSLR at a campsite in Ontario. I really liked the image but wanted to kick it up a notch :) I redid the entire image in Corel Painter starting with a gentle watercolor blend of the background. I then repainted the entire collar, cloned out some distractions and gave it a vibrant and new red tone. Every single piece of hair on the dog was then painted & blended with watercolor and airbrushes. My dog sitting in the sun a few weeks ago… / Saved her from the pound here in Oklahoma back in October of 2008. We got her as a tiny puppy. The next day we took her to the vet and found out she had parvo. 14 days in the vet and almost $2000 later she’s fine and ours … goodness… She’s half black lab and half Bassett hound. Her name is Siren due to the fact that I couldn’t ignore her call when I saw her at the pound.. Nikon D80

Every single piece of hair on the dog was painted & blended with watercolor and airbrushes. Work completed using Photoshop, Corel Painter X and a Wacom Tablet. I worked from a very dark and and poor photo. A lot of the features were hidden in the grass, so I had to be a creative with how to handle the grass. 16” x 22’

Sienna and I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season!!! In August, I took this photo of Sienna watching the birds through my patio door. For this digital compilation, I replaced the “outdoor” scenery with a picture of a snowy pine tree from my yard, added snowflakes, and a slight orton effect to add a dreamy effect for the holiday season!! I really don’t have too much time on my hands…. my housework, holiday wrapping, cards, and cooking are waiting for me!!!!!

Another wintry experiment with one of Sienna’s pictures (original photo shown below). She was standing in the snow along Clarks Creek, but I converted the picture to black and white, added falling snowflakes and a red holiday bow to make her look a bit more festive! / Original taken February 2008. It was fairly easy to make the snow. I just searched on the internet for a Photoshop tutorial to make snow and found it instantly. Here’s Sienna’s original picture: /
