Another one drawn with a photo reference, AGAIN!! XD i used a reference from a book about drawing baby animals.. again yea.. _dodge rotten eggs.. :P heheehe… Did this about 7yrs ago for a friend’s birthday. Gave it to him, and totally regret giving the piece to that arse (excuse the lang). grrr… i only have n A4 color-photocopy version of this piece right now. Originally drawn on A3 watercolor paper with colorpencils and crayons.. Will scan it at higher res later when am done with cms proj.. i think it’s weird.. i draw with crayons and colorpencils, i used watercolor paper .. dodge rotten tomatoes.. Many of my friend said it looks like it has a cat body with a dog face.. Thus the title.. This is our Petie and he came from the county animal shelter. My Joe ( in the photo ) made a trip there on a mission for a friend and saw Petie ( a kitten at the time ). Well, to make a long story short, he couldn’t resist bringing him home, where we already had ten cats. So, what was one more cat? They are all so special to us and Petie was no exception. I hate to think what his future might have been. Going to the animal shelter is heartbreaking to us both because it’s so hard to leave and not be able to take all the little homeless animals with you.

Pugsley looking after his adopted kitten. We found this little cold, hungry and half dead kitten in the middle of the road, and of course took him home and nursed him back to health. Our two boxers, Pugsley and Sybil, fell in love with him and became his surrogate parents immediately. They shared food with him, bathed him (licked him), kept him warm and safe. Even now that Snitch (Golden Snitch, named by our son) is fully grown, he will still cuddle up with the boxers and play with them. It was an amazing thing to watch the caring and gentle souls of these dogs take this little guy under their wings. Featured: Sleeping Creatures – August
