Ok this thing would need to be huge and the forklifts would need to be a lot faster but this would be so cool. We could go outside in our break and do stunts and talk crap and have some fun. We could all stand around the edge spray painting the bowl and paying out on the other guys when they stack it. Actually we do half of this stuff without the skatepark.

During a trip to a local zoo, this smart groundhog took it upon itself to do something about their lack of food. Fed up with being underfed and malnurished it took drastic action. / Another few hours and they will be eating like Lords!

What does a pug do when there’s a heatwave?? He gets under a wet flannel, of course. Today we are all suffering from the heat here in Adelaide, and Puggy is no exception. Acrylic on canvas I’ve often been amused seeing owners taking their dog(s) out for a walk locally. Sometimes the dogs are so incredibly eager…I wonder who is taking who for a walk. / Here it is a windy day too and things seem to have ‘taken off’!

And then with a thud to the back of my head came blackness. / Waking to find myself face down on the floor, I could hear the grating wheeze of the dogs laughter and the tinkling of broken glass falling from my back as I rose to my knees. I rubbed a tender spot at the base of my skull, and then my eyes. / Through a haze of dust and feathers the scene before me gradually came into focus. The frenzied attack on my host continued, and it was clear that despite his bravery, his efforts to fend of the relentless beasts had become futile. / However, at the very same moment his eyes had suggested a man resigned to his fate, with a swipe of his glove he was able to buy himself enough time to reach into his overcoat and pull out a large shiny object which he tossed into the air. / The object – a medal of the grandest order- fell at the feet of the sniggering hound. The dog looked down at the prize and breathed out a deep sigh of smug satisfaction. “Well…” gurgled his battle worn master, by now at the limits of his patience: / “DON’T JUST STAND THERE LIKE AN OVER GROWN FRICKIN GOOFBALL…D-O-O-O SOMETHING!!!!!”

Two of my 9 week old American Pit Bull Terrier puppies that I have right now. This is one of their favorite toys. When you press on different spots, it makes noises or plays little songs. The largest female in a litter of nine: the parents being Bela and Troy (also featured in my portfolio). Taken with Sony Cybershot 9 May 2009. The hairiest of the Rotties ….a gorgeous girl who ‘knows it’. The Rottweiler, or Rottweil Metzgerhund (“Butchers Dog”), is a “medium to large size, stalwart dog” breed originating in Germany as a herding dog. It is a hardy and very intelligent breed. Rottweilers also worked as draught dogs, pulling carts to carry meat and other products to market. “Rottweiler breeders aim at a dog of abundant strength, black coated with clearly defined rich tan markings, whose powerful appearance does not lack nobility and which is exceptionally well suited to being a companion, service and working dog.” The Rottweiler was kept busy in these traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railroads replaced droving for getting livestock to market. Although there are still Rottweilers working stock all over the world, many other roles have been found for this versatile breed. During the first and second World Wars, Rottweilers were put into service in various roles including as messenger, draught and guard dogs. Currently they are often used as search and rescue, assistance, guide dogs for the blind, guard and police dogs in addition to their traditional roles. Although an extremely versatile breed used in recent times for many other purposes, the Rottweiler is first and foremost one of the oldest, if not the oldest, of herding breeds. A multi-faceted herding and stock protection dog of exceptional ability, it is capable of working all kinds of livestock under a wide variety of conditions. The breed is an ancient one, whose history stretches back to the Roman Empire. In those times, the legions traveled with their meat on the hoof and required the assistance of working dogs to herd the cattle. One route the army traveled was through Württemberg and on to the small market town of Rottweil. The principal ancestors of the first Rottweilers during this time was supposed to be the Roman droving dog, local dogs the army met on its travels, and dogs with molosser appearance coming from England and The Netherlands. This region eventually became an important cattle area, and the descendants of the Roman cattle dogs proved their worth in both driving and protecting the cattle from robbers and wild animals. However, by the end of the 19th century as railroads became the main method for moving stock to market, the breed had declined so much that in 1900 there was only one female to be found in the town of Rottweil. Photograph taken with Sony Cybershot early this morning – 20 May 2009. Other than cropping for redbubble the picture is as ‘real’ as it gets, ‘untouched’ and ‘as is’. The metal man had arrived and was reinforcing Alkatraz aka ‘The Den’ as my pooches have become little Houdini’s amongst other things. The sound of the drill scared them and they came to me for protection – being the evil mother that I am I left them sitting and tried to catch the moment. To get all six in one place and not chewing, fighting, digging or eating was simply beautiful.
