Labradors are relatively large with males typically weighing 30 to 36 kg (65 to 80 lb) and females 25 to 32 kg (55 to 70 lb) but some labs do become overweight and may weigh significantly more. Their coats are short and smooth, and they possess a straight, powerful tail often likened to that of an otter.Labradors are a well-balanced and versatile breed, adaptable to a wide range of functions as well as making very good pets. As a rule they are not excessively prone to being territorial, pining, insecurity, aggression, destructiveness, hypersensitivity, or other difficult traits which sometimes manifest in a variety of breeds, and as the name suggests, they are excellent retrievers. As an extension of this, they instinctively enjoy holding objects and even hands or arms in their mouths, which they can do with great gentleness .

Champ just loves the pumpkin, can’t you tell? He has taken some bites out of the side of my poor pumpkin. Champ is getting big, he will be 9 months old tomorrow 10-23-08. Still as sweet as ever, however he did destroy the girl ragdoll holding the basket of leaves in “Harvest Twins”. He is a border collie with lots of energy, when he gets bored, you’d better watch out, put those treasures up for safe keeping. He is just a pup and doesn’t know any better. He sures hates getting in trouble though. I thought this photo would make a great Thanksgiving card. Oh, and this is a bird’s eye view! Best viewed larger

When I was a child my uncle took a dog named Schultz. I spent a lot of time in my uncle house especially during summer, so Schultz and me grew together. He hated rice, my aunt never made him to eat it and he loved catching the stick. Near my uncle house there was a lake and Schiltz had so much fun when I threw the stick into the lake so he can dive into it and take the stick. / I never had a dog of mine yet, but I like to think that Schultz was my first dog anyway. This is a little American Pit Bull Terrier puppy called Uno at about 5 weeks old. I took so many pictures of him that he got tired of having his picture taken, and decided to Get The Turkey / So I put him in his room to sleep and when he was out for the count, I picked him up and put him back in the set with the turkey and proceeded to shoot.
