Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Long Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Canada / March, 2008 On a cold and very wet day out on Long Beach, Vancouver Island we made a couple of friends for a moment whilst out with our cameras… happy to check us out whilst we set up our shots, I couldn’t resist turning my attention to them… well they were following us everywhere! We were not quite sure what breed they were.. obviously living wild.. perhaps a bit of wolf in there, who knows… But anyway, this pair of puppies were as cute as… I’m sure if we had permanent residence there, then they would be sat by my feet now! This (far left) cup has been travelling around the world – who knows where it is now. Here (an old rectory in Glebe, Sydney). I’ve tried to create a disparate collection of cups (different backgrounds, histories, journeys or purposes) while they have a core similarity, connection or raison d’etre.

This picture was taken in Hyde Park in Sydney, this little man was walking a huge (HUGE) dog. I straight away thought I would not mess with him. I noticed that every where the man looked the dog would look as well. This is a old image at least 1 year old i have i have put a slight boarder and turned it dark sepia. Canon EOS 450D

Granted they never get this close to her but she just stands there and watches them. Pastel on Canson Paper – 50cm x 25cm Another one that I’ve dragged from the archives! I let the warmth of the coloured paper do most of the work for me! I hoped to provoke a feeling of nostalgia in this commission, where a view of the property was required, together with the farmer (not a “young” man himself) and his very old, and much loved, dog!
