A brilliant sunset over the marina. This was the view from my front deck tonight. A few boats are still floating as October is coming to an end. Snow will be flying soon…maybe. The lake level is dangerously low so many sailboats are now getting stuck in the mud.

Shot at Clear Lake, CA. (on the way to Ft. Bragg, CA, which is right on the Pacific Ocean.) / It’s interesting how the eye will seek out even the smallest image in a picture, as mine did when I saw this bird perched on one of the lake pilings. The gently blowing wind against the water produced a gentle texture for the image. I was also amused that they had used old tires around the posts to protect the boats from hitting the dock. Viewers of this lake would not say it’s pretty…actually it’s quite uninteresting, but when you look for beauty, you’ll generally find it everywhere..even in the midst of uninteresting! / /
