A little while ago, I too was asked to design something, along with Scott, for some limited tshirt greatness. After lessons learned, coolness achieved, and so I don’t have to go into the witness protection program, I am able to now offer it to you…. on whatever colour you desire….... at the time it was going to go on some Royal Blue goodness – the best colour. The concept, although many and varied in my mind, is one I hope you all dig. it was going to be an oversize, overseam printy goodness DJ i’ve changed this slightly for The Bub tee template
Taken in 1966, this is one of my favourite images of the 60’s of the iconic DJ, Sir Jimmy Savile OBE. I took the shot when I was 20 during my assistant days at 1:15 am, after a long advertising shoot for a petrol company with my boss, top fashion and advertising photographer John Cowan. I asked Sir Jim if I could run a couple of rolls of film for my portfolio. True gent that he is, Jim said “Sure!” even though every one was pretty tired after the 5 hour gasoline ad session. Anyhow, this is the result and it remains one of my favourite pictures to this day as it shows Sir Jim as he really was and is – a strong and generous human being who did not take himself too seriously. You are a true professional Jim, and I am eternally grateful to you for giving me this opportunity. Technical Details: Camera: Hasselblad 500C / Lens: 80mm Planar / Film: Tri-X / ASA: 400 rated at 200 / Exposure: 1/125 sec at f/16 / Lighting: 5,000 Joule Strobe in perspex light bank. © 1966 John Hooton Photography

An old Italian man said this to me when he thought I was working too hard.
The right music, at the right time can take anyone away. For those who recognise this, let`s just say it`s a long story. / But it`s back, It`s better than the original version (in my opinion), and I`m happy to be able to have it here, it`s one of my favorite pieces. wall art version here Hope you enjoy.
Randomly found a photo of a baby Orangutan and its expression was that of someone who had just seen or heard something amazing for the first time – hence the design.
ipods? Pah! CDs? Nah… I still love my mixtapes. Music’s become so instant that there’s no interaction with the user any more. Can anyone say that certain songs remind them of specific times or places these days? No, because music’s become a cheapened commodity. I used to save up to buy a tape or record and can define many times in my life by certain tunes I bought / copied / listened to at the time. Get back into taping I say…
My entry for RedBubble’s Music Machines challenge. I think it’s pretty self-explanatory really. A Robot DJ to spice up your parties and play your favourite tunes. =) Close-up here so you can see the linework style a bit better. / Big thanks to my friend Maidens for giving me criticism along the way, otherwise I might never have finished it and given up somewhere halfway through. =P Completely drawn in Photoshop.
Deadmau5 (pronounced “Deadmouse”; real name Joel Zimmerman) is a progressive house and electro house producer from Toronto, Canada. ‘Deadmau5’, Zimmermans’ DJ name, comes from an incident where a mouse crawled into his computer and died. ‘Dead Mouse’ was too long for an IRC login name, so he abbreviated it to be the “leet speak” spelling “Deadmau5”.
