Waterfall in the peak district, in black and white
Autumn in the Peak District, UK.
Well here is my first Infrared image, well sort of, i got a Hoya R72 filter for Christmas and since having it it has not stopped raining, well at least on the days when i have been able to go out shooting, so i took this of the Winnats pass in the peak district but the sky was just grey cloud so i played in photoshop and added a better sky but in colour. Let me know what you think? i am waiting for a good clear day to try it out properly.
Blackrocks in Derbyshire on the RBUK weekend meet .. I’ve transported Peter Langman up to a dizzy height in this shot to give it scale …... and because he’s always tired …. / . / Copyright Richie Dean 2008

The title to be exact should read “With The Birds, and the sheep and Simon Gladwin and the dog walker with his dog I shared this nearly lonely view” but I went with the RHCP’s shorter (and nearly true) version of events. Taken on the RBUK meet up in 2008.
There are some wonderful views on top of the cliffs that look over the whole of the valley. On this particular morning I got a number of really nice shots of the early morning mist that settled down low. I just love the patchwork feel to the farmland in the valley. Worth waking up at 4 am I think. This is the shot as it came out of the camera. Taken with a Canon EOS1- Ds Mark ll, 28-300 zoom lens with IS
This was taken on the road between the villages of Foolow and Eyam in the Derbyshire Peak District. I used to live and work in Eyam and I know this road very well. It is beautiful any time, but particularly on this morning with the mist behind. It gives a very erie feeling to the scene. I love the colour of the stones and the textures. A shot of the sun rising at Padley Gorge in the Peak District. This is my favourite place in the whole wide world…..so far.

Stanage Edge in Derbyshire is the longest gritstone edge in England at 3.5 miles in length and is a popular haunt for rock climbers like the chap featured here! / The weather (and the light) can change quickly in this region, so I was lucky to have a brief spell of good light on this otherwise dull day. One of the downfalls of the Derbyshire Peak District….freezing fog!!!!
Shot on a meet up with fellow bubbler Bradley shawn Rabon in the lovely peak district national park and Derwent reservoirs / Derwent Reservoir is the middle of three reservoirs in the Upper Derwent Valley in the north east of Derbyshire, England. The River Derwent flows first through Howden Reservoir, then Derwent Reservoir and finally through Ladybower Reservoir. Between them they provide practically all of Derbyshire’s water, as well as to a large part of South Yorkshire’s and as far afield as Nottingham and Leicester. / Derwent Reservoir is around 1.5 mi (2 km) in length, running broadly north-south, with Howden Dam at the northern end and Derwent Dam at the south. A small island lies near the Howden Dam. The Abbey Brook flows into the reservoir from the east. / At its peak the reservoir covers an area of 70.8 hectares (175 acres) and at its deepest point is 34.7 metres deep. / Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens / f18 / 1/5 sec / ISO 200 /
Taken on the edge of Ughill moors in Derbyshire. The freezing fog swept in quickly and the trees were frozen almost instantly!!
