  • This wonderful building has featured in a number of my works over the years. I have watched it’s decline as business units moved out and the boards went up. Now, despite having been purchased for renovation and wire grills having been put up on the ground to stop posters being put up, the stonework is deteriorating fast. As the stone crumbles it’s soaking up the rainwater and staining the building. I often think the windows of old buildings such as this look like eyes watching out over the city.
