Made this in tribute to my favourite Facebook group – how postmodern can you get? (And yes, there’s a sneaky © next to the Disney typeface.)
This was taken at Walt Disney World (Nov.2007).

Location: the Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles, California).
I’m sorta hesitant to say this; but am I the only one who found Tinkerbell in the Disney Peter Pan cartoon rather sexy? Maybe it was the little mini dress, or maybe there was a subliminal message coming across in the imagery, I dunno. Anyway I thought I’d have a crack at drawing her in a more “all growed up” style. I was heavily influenced at the time after organising my Julias Zimmerman files on the computer. Google his name, but be warned most of his artwork is very graphic.

Isn’t this the best?! Adolf Hitler was enraged at the great popularity of those foreign movies, and was most angry when he was told that members of the Nazi party would sometimes come to assemblies with Mickey Mouse pins on their lapels. Anyway, this is where this statement led me…hope you enjoy! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-- The Rorschach inkblot test is a method of psychological evaluation in which subjects’ perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using, depending on the psychologist, intuitive insight, complex scientifically derived algorithms, or both. Some psychologists use this test to try to examine the personality characteristics and emotional functioning of their patients. It has been employed in diagnosing underlying thought disorder and differentiating psychotic from nonpsychotic thinking in cases where the patient is reluctant to admit openly to psychotic thinking. / source This test was created by German psychologist Hermann Rorschach in 1921. —-—-—-—-—-—-——- After Hitler’s takeover in 1933, Mickey Mouse initially remained on the German scene; but in 1941, when war was declared on the USA, he was banned in Germany. Hitler actually enjoyed Disney’s shorts. However, when he saw the 1929 Mickey Mouse cartoon, The Barnyard Battle, his opinion quickly changed. The short depicted World War I German soldiers as feline foils for Mickey. This could have been a reason that eventual lead towards the character being banned from Nazi Germany. / source detail: /

Our mother died giving birth to us. They wouldn’t let us go to school or anything. They kept us hidden. We were the ‘big family secret’. everybody hated us, except our Aunt. See, he likes the dark. He doesn’t like to be seen, not even by me sometimes.
